Senior Software Engineer - Java - £150k + Trading BonusWe are working with a Major Financial Services company that is looking for a Senior Software Engineer skilled in Java to join their Trading team. This is an opportunity to work on highly scalable, business-critical technology at the intersection of software engineering, financial markets and the energy transition.What you’ll be doing:Building distributed, event-driven, high-throughput trading systemsDeveloping core Java applications in Linux environmentsWorking with messaging, networking and real-time dataDesigning cloud-native infrastructure and production-ready servicesCollaborating closely with traders, quantitative developers and architectsWhat we’re looking for:5+ years' software engineering experienceStrong Java and concurrent/multi-threaded programming skillsExperience with distributed or event-driven systemsExposure to high-throughput, low-latency or data-intensive environmentsMessaging, networking and/or market data experienceAWS or cloud infrastructure experience is beneficialTrading, financial markets or energy market experience is highly desirable
