The company is actively seeking partners and investors who share its mission to unlock global-level salaries and careers for African developers.Role Description The Senior Software Engineer internship at Aierth Inc is a remote role focused on designing, building, and improving core platform features that power the training academy and talent marketplace. Day-to-day work includes implementing scalable back-end services, APIs, and integrations, collaborating closely with the CTO, product, and design teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. The intern will review and refactor existing code, enforce coding standards and best practices, write automated tests, and participate in code reviews to ensure reliability and maintainability. The role also involves researching and proposing architectural improvements, contributing to technical documentation, and mentoring junior or peer developers within the academy ecosystem. This is an internship position with an expectation of professional-level ownership, proactive communication, and alignment with Aierth’s mission to serve African tech talent.Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-quality features in modern languages and frameworks.Hands-on Back-End Web Development experience, including building APIs, working with databases, and integrating third-party services.Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them in designing clean, reusable, and testable code.Experience with version control (e.g., Git), collaborative development workflows, and agile or iterative methodologies.Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment practices (e.g., CI/CD, containerization) is highly beneficial.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment.Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
