We’re seeking an experienced technical professional to advance computational geometry and meshing capabilities that help engineering teams accelerate product development and solve complex challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and bring to production computational geometry and meshing methods for physics simulation, including computational fluid dynamics (CFD), structural analysis, thermal simulation, and AI workflows.
- Solve complex geometry ingestion and mesh generation challenges, with an emphasis on automation and customer impact.
- Help shape the long-term technical direction for geometry and meshing technology.
- Identify technical risks and advise leadership on development priorities and engineering trade-offs.
- Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to translate research into practical product capabilities.
- Mentor colleagues and support technical development across the organization.Required Qualifications — Must-Haves:
- Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Computational Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of post-Ph.D. software development experience in computational geometry and/or meshing, with a demonstrated record of delivering customer value.
- Deep expertise in computational geometry, meshing, or a closely related domain, including complex 3D geometry used in real-world, industry-grade applications.
- Strong experience writing high-performance, production-level C++ code using C++17 or later.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with enterprise-level software development and testing practices.
- Ability to work directly with customers, balance technical decisions with business needs, and manage engineering risks.
- Demonstrated mentorship, clear communication, and effective collaboration in a fast-paced startup environment.
- A strong interest in applying computational physics and AI to real-world engineering challenges.Additional Experience Valued:Parallel programming experience with shared memory (OpenMP/OMP), MPI for distributed computing, or CUDA for GPUs.
