You will build a career that you are proud of, at a company you can believe in.Position Summary:As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) at Ferguson, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and services that support our eCommerce platform. You will work across the full technology stack, building modern user experiences using React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript while developing scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver high-quality software using modern engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs that support customer-facing and internal applications.Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.Own features through the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and production support.Design and optimize database solutions using PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.Implement caching solutions using Redis or similar technologies.Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality and reliability.Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and Agile development activities.Troubleshoot and resolve application, performance, and production issues.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes in Kubernetes-based environments.Follow engineering best practices for code quality, testing, security, reliability, and maintainability.Required Qualifications:4+ years of software development experience.Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js.Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.Experience building and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems fundamentals.Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.Experience with Redis or similar caching solutions.Experience deploying and operating applications in containerized and Kubernetes-based environments across cloud and/or on-premises platforms.Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.Experience working with global teams.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building eCommerce, retail, distribution, marketplace, or other customer-facing digital applications.Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka or similar technologies.Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and/or enterprise on-premises environments.Key Technologies:React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, GraphQL, REST APIs, Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases), Redis (or similar caching solutions), Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, and/or On-Premises Platforms, Node.js (preferred).
