Senior Software Engineer II (Golang) | Austin, TX (Hybrid)We're working with a well-funded, high-growth technology company that operates a large, distributed network of connected devices deployed across thousands of locations nationwide, delivering real-time content and data at scale.The company has scaled significantly in recent years and recently expanded its data and targeting capabilities through a strategic partnership, putting it at the leading edge of a fast-growing market category.The role: You'll join the backend team as a hands-on senior engineer, helping build and scale the systems that power the company's real-time device network and content delivery across a large, distributed fleet nationwide - with real input into architecture and technical direction as the platform is consolidated onto a modern Go codebase.You'll:Design, build, and maintain high-scale backend services in GoDeliver backend projects end-to-end - from design through to production - improving reliability, performance, and resiliency across distributed systemsBuild and evolve the systems that manage content delivery and device coordination across a nationwide networkDesign and evolve API-first services supporting both customer-facing and internal applicationsContribute to system architecture and technical design for future initiativesPartner directly with Product to scope, plan, and execute backend workWhat we're looking for:6+ years of professional software engineering experienceProficiency in Go, with real experience building and operating high-scale backend systems in productionSolid grasp of distributed systems concepts and trade-offsExperience building API-first, customer-facing servicesExperience working with relational databases and data stores in productionBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degreePackage:Base: $160k - $180k + 5% bonus + equityStrong health coverage (medical, dental, vision) with employer HSA contributionUnlimited PTO, annual learning & development stipendOn-site 3x/week in Austin - hands-on, collaborative engineering culture
