Contribute to the creation of our next generation platform, that works on expanding our amazing delivery to new products such as groceries, pharmaceuticals, flowers and more.The Category Management team owns product categorisation across Delivery Hero's Global Catalog, the category tree customers navigate every time they shop. Our mission is to deliver the most intuitive and personalised browsing experience, making product discovery effortless and driven by data. We focus on categorisation accuracy and coverage: how fast, how accurately, and how autonomously our systems categorise the catalog. You’ll help build technology that scales our non-food offerings, reaching new market segments and driving revenue growth. By innovating within our Quick Commerce Team, you’ll make Delivery Hero the go-to platform for a broad range of products, helping us grow faster and deliver more value to customers around the world.You will build our next generation platform to not only sell food to our hungry customers but also grocery items and many more. You will design and optimize our internal back office applications in a fast growing environment such as a master product database, catalog management systems, campaign management, ad-serving/ad-booking systems. You don’t shy away from building reliable, scalable systems with high concurrency and are always eager to learn new languages and technologies. Your decisions will make an impact since your ideas and efforts do matter. QualificationsJava or Kotlin expert in the context of distributed systems and services. 4+ years of experience in Spring Boot or similar Java Frameworks. A rock-solid foundation in Computer Science (data structures, algorithms, software design). Familiar with common CI/CD tools, ideally GitHub Actions, Drone, or Spinnaker. Actively writing high code quality, automated testing, and following engineering best practices. You are a pragmatic programmer who understands what is needed to get things done in a collaborative manner. Nice to haveFamiliar with common monitoring / alerting / logging tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, ELK stack, distributed tracingBuilding, maintaining & running a high-traffic system in a microservice environment with Kubernetes. Familiar with communication between microservices best practices. Familiar with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, gRPC and Kafka.
