Senior Software Engineer (Java)

VinSmart FutureDomain: FintechWork Loacation: District 1Position Responsibilities (List of essential job functions/duties, responsibilities and expectations – use bullets and prioritize key responsibilities on top, limited to a maximum of 10 bullet points)• Backend Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs using Java or Golang, ensuring high performance and reliability• System Design: Lead the design of complex backend systems, making architectural decisions that impact scalability, maintainability, and performance• Advanced Development: Implement sophisticated features including distributed transactions, event-driven architectures, and real-time data processing• Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance at database, application, and infrastructure levels• Code Excellence: Conduct thorough code reviews, establish coding standards, and mentor junior engineers on best practices• Production Ownership: Take ownership of services in production, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutionsQualifications / Professional Competencies / Experience RequirementsA list of general requirements for the role (not tailored to any individual) – including desired educational background, work experience, and technical knowledge.• Minimum 7 years in backend development with strong proficiency in both Java or Golang• Programming Expertise: Deep knowledge of Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) or Golang (goroutines, channels, standard library); understanding of language-specific performance characteristics• Microservices Architecture: Proven experience designing and implementing microservices, including service discovery, API gateway patterns, and inter-service communication• Databases: Advanced knowledge of RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL) including query optimization, indexing strategies, and transaction management; experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra) is a plus• API Design: Strong understanding of RESTful API design, gRPC, and GraphQL; experience with API versioning and backward compatibility• CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment. • Core Knowledge: Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, with the ability to apply them to complex problem-solving.• Experience in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). • Familiarity with system security practices and backend performance optimization.
