Key Responsibilities We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Mobile) to lead the development of high-performance Android applications that deliver seamless experiences to millions of users. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Android development with leadership capabilities to drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, improve engineering practices, and contribute to the scalability, reliability, and performance of ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ • Own the design, development, and delivery of Android application components using Java and Kotlin while ensuring high code quality and maintainability. • Provide technical leadership to agile development teams by promoting engineering best practices, CI/CD adoption, automated testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Lead design discussions, sprint planning, estimation exercises, and technical reviews with engineering teams and business stakeholders. www.mpokket.in • Conduct system analysis and contribute to architecture design decisions aligned with business goals and technology standards. • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and detailed implementation plans. • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and engineering standards. • Identify technical risks and proactively recommend solutions to improve system stability, scalability, and performance. • Establish and enforce coding standards, testing frameworks, debugging practices, and deployment processes. • Oversee production support activities, analyze recurring issues, lead root cause analysis, and drive platform reliability improvements. • Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. • Collaborate closely with Product, QA, Operations, and Engineering teams to deliver features within agreed timelines while maintaining quality standards. • Lead innovation initiatives, evaluate emerging technologies, and contribute to next-generation mobile platform development. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Minimum Qualifications Android architecture components. techniques. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. • 4+ years of hands-on Android development experience using Java and Kotlin. • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android ecosystem, application lifecycle management, and • Deep understanding of Android design principles, platform capabilities, and performance optimization • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns. • Experience integrating and consuming RESTful web services and APIs. • Strong understanding of XML, JSON, and mobile data exchange mechanisms. • Experience implementing architectural patterns such as MVC, MVP, and MVVM. • Knowledge of mobile configuration and engagement platforms such as Firebase. • Experience integrating third-party services and SDKs within Android applications. www.mpokket.in • Strong understanding of mobile application quality, user experience optimization, and performance tuning. • Experience with modern development paradigms including reactive and functional programming. • Experience designing scalable, secure, highly available, and maintainable mobile applications. • Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and collaborative development practices. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in fintech, digital lending, banking, or other financial technology domains. • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application within mobile or fintech ecosystems. • Experience contributing to large-scale system design and technology modernization initiatives. • Exposure to advanced monitoring, observability, and performance engineering practices. • Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives across cross-functional teams. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What's in it for you?
