The CTO is stepping back into strategy. This new role picks up everything else: the day-to-day running of a growing engineering function, with a clear path to taking on operations too.You'll have four direct reports and an overall team of around 20. You'll work closely with a strong senior developer who leans into design decisions, and you'll have real influence over architecture and direction. This is a business that trusts you to get it done.Here's what makes this different from most delivery leadership roles I place.You won't sit in sprints. Nobody's asking you to be a project manager. This is about looking after the platform, including both internal and client-facing systems, spotting the low-hanging fruit and jumping in yourself when it helps the team, and still being hands-on enough to write C# when it's needed.Operations will come into scope over your first six months, and you'll be picking up the relationship with a third-party MSP.This is a fast-moving environment with process in place, but you'll need to adapt as priorities shift. If you prefer a fixed structure to work within, this probably isn't the right fit. But if you're someone who brings calm and consistency when things change quickly, you'll thrive hereStack is .NET, C#, React and TypeScript.
