Joining the team means contributing to the global transition toward clean, renewable energy solutions.Role Description The Senior Solar Design & Estimation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai. This role is responsible for developing detailed PV system designs, including electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, cable sizing, and equipment selection for commercial and utility-scale projects. The engineer prepares technical proposals and cost estimations, analyzes project feasibility, and optimizes system performance to meet client and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day activities include reviewing site assessments, coordinating with engineering and project management teams, and ensuring designs comply with local codes, international standards, and utility interconnection guidelines. The role also involves supporting tender processes, reviewing contractor and vendor submissions, and providing technical guidance throughout project execution.QualificationsStrong knowledge of the solar industry, including Solar Power and Solar Systems, with experience in commercial and utility-scale projects.Advanced skills in PV Design, including system configuration, performance modeling, shading analysis, and layout optimization.Solid Electrical Design capabilities, including sizing of cables and protection devices, preparation of single-line diagrams, and understanding of grid interconnection requirements.Proficiency with solar design and simulation tools (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, ETAP or similar) and MS Office for reporting and estimation.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in design and estimation for solar PV projects, preferably at senior or lead engineer level.Dewa & Dubai Municipality ApprovedFamiliarity with international and local electrical standards and solar PV regulations applicable in the Middle East.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in cost and technical estimates.Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.Professional certifications in solar or electrical engineering and prior experience in Dubai or GCC markets are beneficial.
