Senior Specialist - Costing (Emirati Talents)

Job Description

Strategy Support the development of cost accounting frameworks and cost recovery models in line with approved financial objectives. Provide inputs to breakeven analysis and expenditure rationalization, ensuring alignment with departmental cost plans. Ensure compliance with cost accounting standards, internal control procedures, and audit requirements Operations Manage and operate and maintain the cost accounting system for assigned services and activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Prepare variance analyses, breakeven reports, and costing summaries for review by senior management. Prepare standard cost and pricing analysis reports for decision-making. Coordinate with finance, and operational departments to validate cost elements, service pricing, and contractual obligations. Develop and implement automation-enabled tools and dashboards for costing, variance monitoring, and financial reporting. Track and report key cost performance indicators (KPIs), linking variance analysis to service efficiency and cost recovery targets. Conduct workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions to build cost awareness and financial capability across departments Product / Process Improvement Recommend improvements in costing practices to enhance efficiency and reliability. Contribute to automation initiatives for cost reporting and analytics. Support training and workshops to disseminate costing policies and practices within business units.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree/ Master’s degree in Finance6+ Years in case of Master’s degree (8+ years in case of Bachelor’s degree) Certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA)Expertise in audit processes and internal control frameworksStrong business process management and operational optimization skillsProficiency in core data analysis, reporting, and KPI/statistical evaluationExperience in cost accounting and service costing methodologiesSkilled in enterprise financial systems and application managementAbility to monitor expenditures and implement cost control measuresExpertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic financial planningStrong financial reporting and analysis capabilitiesKnowledge of governance, risk management, and excellence programsUnderstanding of legislative compliance and financial regulationsAbility to conduct market research, benchmarking, and commercial feasibility studiesExperience in pricing mechanisms, revenue management, and transformational financial strategyCompetence in financial coordination and stakeholder alignmentSkilled in developing and managing financial policies and proceduresKnowledge of general administrative and task management practicesStrong project management and public-private partnership (PPP) management capabilitiesAbility to provide technical and financial advisory support
