Meaningful engagement experiences help supporters connect more deeply with that mission and understand the impact of their partnership.The Senior Specialist, Donor Experience and Engagement, designs and coordinates donor and partner engagement experiences that strengthen relationships, advance fundraising objectives, and support long-term stewardship. This senior individual contributor role bridges fundraising strategy and organizational execution, partnering across Development, Brand & Communications, Global Impact, Executive Leadership, and National Ministries to deliver high-quality, mission-centered engagement opportunities.Working closely with fundraising teams and organizational stakeholders, the Senior Specialist translates ministry impact into meaningful donor experiences and provides the planning, coordination, resources, and project leadership needed for successful execution. The role exercises significant independent judgment within its area of expertise but has no direct reports or formal people-management responsibility.Core Responsibilities:Donor & Partner Experience DesignDesign donor, foundation, church, and partner engagement experiences to advance cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising objectives.Develop engagement pathways before, during, and after donor experiences.Partner with fundraising staff to define participant objectives, desired outcomes, and relationship goals.Design agendas, engagement plans, and key experience moments.Coordinate storytelling, impact reporting, and ministry engagement elements.Develop and recommend stewardship and follow-up approaches that strengthen long-term relationships.Examples may include: donor events, foundation site visits, donor site visits, vision trips, stewardship experiences, executive engagement opportunities, partner gatherings.Executive & Board Engagement PlanningCoordinate strategic involvement of executives, Board members, and ministry leaders in donor and partner engagement activities.Develop engagement plans that align participation with relationship objectives and approved fundraising priorities.Coordinate executive briefing development and preparation.Clarify intended outcomes and follow-up actions for each engagement.Partner with executive support staff to facilitate effective planning and execution.Fundraiser EnablementAnalyze donor interests, engagement history, relationship opportunities, and stewardship gaps to provide recommendations that support fundraising strategies and relationship advancement.Partner with fundraising staff to identify stewardship needs, recommend stewardship approaches, and support development and maintenance of stewardship plans for priority donors, foundations, churches, and partner relationships.Develop and maintain donor-facing resource libraries, stewardship frameworks, engagement tools, donor materials, executive briefings, and engagement templates.Support consistency and quality across donor-facing experiences.Partner with Brand & Communications, Grant Writing, and fundraising teams to ensure resources remain relevant and current.Resource Coordination & PrioritizationCoordinate requests and projects involving Development, Brand & Communications, Global Impact, Grant Writing, Development Operations, and Executive Leadership.Clarify stakeholder needs, intended outcomes, and resource requirements.Facilitate cross-functional planning and alignment and provide recommendations related to donor engagement priorities, experiences, and stewardship activities.Promote consistency, efficiency, and standardization across donor engagement activities.Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce duplication of effort.Escalate competing priorities, resource constraints, or decisions requiring leadership direction to the appropriate Development leader.Engagement Project Coordination & ExecutionCoordinate cross-functional planning and execution for significant donor-facing initiatives.Develop project plans, timelines, and implementation schedules.Monitor engagement outcomes and stewardship follow-through to support the achievement of donor experience objectives and relationship goals.Coordinate stakeholders and monitor progress toward deliverables.Monitor alignment of engagement activities with approved organizational objectives and donor strategies.Evaluate experience effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.Projects may include stewardship initiatives, customized donor opportunities, and the development of donor impact portfolios.RequirementsFive or more years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, project management, event management, stakeholder engagement, or a related field.Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.Strong communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Prison Fellowship International.Work StatusFull-time, non-exempt, working 40 hours per week.Hybrid work is available with supervisor approval and in accordance with PFI policy.Travel˂ 5% domestic and international travel.Salary range: $78,000 to $92,000.
