Welcome to PxGeoPxGeo is a subsea solutions company that combines innovative proprietary technology with decades of operational experience across every major basin to deliver seismic and autonomous subsea solutions efficiently, reliably and on time.What's the role?The Senior Specialist - Electrical is responsible for providing technical expertise to support the operation, maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of ocean-bottom node (OBN), source, streamer systems and automation systems used in PxGeo's marine seismic acquisition activities. The role ensures that electrical and electronic systems are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational performance while supporting both offshore and onshore technical functions.Key responsibilities include:Provide technical support for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of node, source, streamer and automation electrical systemsSupport the design, evaluation, integration, and commissioning of new equipment, upgrades, and modificationsDevelop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical specifications, and technical documentationInvestigate technical issues and equipment failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actionsMonitor equipment performance and reliability, identifying opportunities for operational improvement and risk reductionSupport preventive and corrective maintenance programs for seismic acquisition systems and associated electrical equipmentPerform failure analysis and reliability assessments to improve equipment availability and reduce downtimeEnsure electrical systems are tested, calibrated, and maintained in accordance with operational and manufacturer requirementsProvide engineering support during mobilizations, demobilizations, vessel operations, and offshore survey activities as requiredAssist operational teams in resolving complex electrical and electronic faults affecting acquisition systemsCoordinate with internal stakeholders, vessel personnel, equipment manufacturers, and service providers to address technical issuesSupport equipment readiness activities and participate in system acceptance testing and sea trialsIdentify and implement initiatives that enhance system performance, efficiency, reliability, and maintainabilityContribute to engineering projects related to equipment modernization, standardization, and lifecycle managementEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements applicable to PxGeo's node and streamer operationsSupport the development and updating of technical procedures, work instructions, and maintenance documentationEnsure all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirementsParticipate in risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety improvement initiativesPromote a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational excellenceMaintain accurate technical records and documentation related to maintenance and technical activitiesWho are we looking for?Degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent technical experienceSeveral years of experience in marine seismic acquisition, offshore energy, or similarly complex technical/industrial environment. Experience with OBN, or towed marine geophysical equipment is highly advantageousStrong working knowledge of electrical, electronic, and control systems used in marine seismic acquisitionAbility to diagnose and resolve complex electrical/electronic faults efficiently, including root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failuresProficiency in developing, reviewing, and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specificationsFamiliarity with preventive and corrective maintenance methodologies, calibration standards, and manufacturer testing requirementsWorking knowledge of relevant industry, electrical safety, and marine/offshore regulatory standardsStrong discipline in maintaining accurate technical records, procedures, and work instructions
