Apply & track with Apply EdgeI am seeking an experienced Senior Specialist – Financial Reporting to join the Finance team of a leading Semi Government Abu Dhabi-based organisation. The role will play a key part in ensuring accurate, timely and compliant Group financial reporting and consolidation, supporting senior stakeholders with high-quality financial information and analysis.The successful candidate will have a strong technical accounting background, excellent knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting, and experience working across complex, multi-entity environments. Big 4 experience is highly advantageous.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support the preparation of Group financial reporting and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.Manage the consolidation of multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations, consolidation adjustments and foreign currency translation.Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packs, ensuring accuracy, completeness and adherence to reporting deadlines.Perform detailed analysis of balance sheet and P&L movements, identifying key variances and ensuring appropriate accounting treatment.Support the preparation of cash flow statements, equity movements, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.Review intercompany balances and transactions and ensure appropriate reconciliation and elimination.Coordinate with finance teams across the Group to ensure consistent reporting policies, accounting treatments and data quality.Support the preparation of management and Board reporting, providing clear financial analysis and commentary on key movements and financial performance.Work closely with Tax, Treasury, Corporate Finance, FP&A and Business Finance teams to ensure alignment of financial information and reporting requirements.Support the year-end audit process, coordinating with external auditors and providing required financial schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of financial reporting processes, controls and reporting systems.Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, governance frameworks and applicable accounting standards.Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, accuracy and automation of Group reporting processes.Provide technical accounting guidance and support on complex transactions and reporting matters where required.Key RequirementsQualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.Strong experience in Group Financial Reporting and Consolidation.Excellent knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting principles.Experience working within a complex, multi-entity or Group environment.Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and eliminations, FX, cash flow and balance sheet reporting.Proven experience preparing financial statements and management/Board reporting.Experience working with external auditors and managing audit requirements.Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate financial movements and provide clear commentary.Excellent Excel and financial reporting systems capability.Big 4 experience would be highly advantageous, particularly candidates with a strong audit, accounting advisory or financial reporting background.Experience within a large corporate, semi-government, infrastructure, utilities, energy or similarly complex organisation would be advantageous.Availability: Preference will be given to candidates available immediately.We are looking for a candidate who will be able to work in United Arab Emirates.
