Senior Specialist – Technical Services and Development📍 Dubai, UAE We are looking for a Senior Specialist – Technical Services and Development to support the maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of technical inspection equipment and security systems.The role will be responsible for ensuring equipment readiness, developing maintenance strategies, supporting technical operations, and providing recommendations on equipment performance, upgrades, and future requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain preventive and emergency maintenance plans for inspection equipment and devices.Evaluate equipment performance and prepare technical studies, comparisons, and scoring matrices to support equipment selection.Conduct gap studies and support preliminary equipment testing before procurement.Review maintenance contracts, supplier performance, and technical progress reports.Analyze equipment performance data and recommend replacement, upgrades, and improvement initiatives.Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to field teams and technicians.Develop technical guidelines and operating practices for equipment installation and maintenance.Support technical evaluation of supplier proposals and provide technical recommendations.Monitor the latest developments in inspection equipment through benchmarking, exhibitions, and industry engagement.Support knowledge transfer, technical training, and new technology rollouts.Develop technical strategies, KPIs, and improvement initiatives for technical services.Support the reliability and readiness of security systems, including emergency plans and contingency solutions.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field, preferably Electromechanical Engineering.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance, projects, planning, and reporting.Strong experience in equipment maintenance, reliability, troubleshooting, and technical support.Technical background in CCTV systems and X-ray cargo/vehicle scanning machines is preferred.Experience in supplier management, maintenance contracts, equipment evaluation, and technical reporting.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work with technical teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.Experience in customs inspection equipment or security systems is an advantage.
