Senior / Staff ML Compiler Engineer - Only USC

About the Opportunity:We're looking for a Senior / Staff ML Compiler Engineer who can work at the intersection of compiler technology, AI acceleration, processor architecture, and hardware/software co-design.What You'll Do• Develop and optimize compiler infrastructure for custom processors and accelerators• Build compiler backends, optimization passes, and code-generation workflows• Improve instruction scheduling, register allocation, memory efficiency, and execution performance• Develop graph-level and operator-level optimizations for AI/ML workloads• Develop runtime systems and execution frameworks• Profile workloads and optimize latency, throughput, memory bandwidth, and power efficiency• Partner closely with architecture, silicon, systems, and AI teams• Support compiler enablement for next-generation compute architectures• Optimize ML/inference workloads for custom accelerators⭐ Must-Have Qualifications• 7+ years relevant experience for Senior / 10+ years for Staff• BS/MS/PhD in CS, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field• Strong C/C++ programming skills• Deep compiler development and optimization experience• Hands-on experience with LLVM, MLIR, TVM, XLA, GCC, or custom compiler frameworks• Strong experience with compiler backend development, code generation, optimization passes, runtime systems, and performance profiling• Strong understanding of computer architecture, memory systems, instruction scheduling, register allocation, and parallel execution Preferred• Semiconductor industry experience• AI accelerator, NPU, DSP, GPU, or custom compute architecture experience• RISC-V knowledge• Graph optimization, quantization, inference optimization, and Edge AI• Embedded systems and HW/SW co-design• Computer vision, radar, signal processing, or autonomous systems experience📩 Interested?
