This role involves delivering direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions in coordination with the healthcare team. The Senior Staff Nurse oversees junior nursing staff, provides clinical guidance, and ensures adherence to established protocols, infection control standards, and safety procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring and documenting patient status, coordinating with physicians and allied health professionals, and supporting families with clear communication and education. The Senior Staff Nurse also participates in quality improvement initiatives, maintains accurate medical records, and contributes to training and mentoring of new nursing team members.Qualifications Strong clinical nursing skills, including patient assessment, care planning, and hands-on bedside care.Experience in supervising nursing staff, mentoring team members, and coordinating multidisciplinary care.Proficiency in medication administration, documentation, and adherence to hospital protocols and infection control standards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail.Recognized nursing qualification (e.g., GNM, B.Sc. Nursing) and current nursing registration with the appropriate regulatory body.Several years of relevant hospital experience, preferably in a multi-specialty or acute care setting.Commitment to compassionate, non-discriminatory patient care and ongoing professional development.
