You will define and influence how Teradata delivers resilient data protection for the world’s most sensitive enterprise data; spanning backup and recovery, replication, disaster recovery, business continuity, and cyber resilience.Your impact will be shaping how customers meet aggressive RTO and RPO targets at Petabyte scale ensuring reliable backup, rapid recovery, and continuous data availability across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will accelerate the delivery of the Enterprise data protection and resilience roadmap, balancing innovation with performance, reliability, and compliance.Success in this role will be measured by delivering enterprise-grade data protection and resilience solutions for hybrid and multi-cloud deployments, differentiating Teradata and unlocking measurable customer value while preserving scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.Who you will work withOn our team, we collaborate with customers, engineering, cloud infrastructure, security operations, governance, field teams, and UX functions to bring next-generation data protection and resilience capabilities into Teradata’s enterprise ecosystem. We are responsible for the product vision, roadmap, and execution of backup, recovery, and resilience initiatives, ensuring they meet both business and technical objectives.What makes you a qualified candidateBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.12+ years of product management experience, including 6+ years leading data protection, backup and recovery, or disaster recovery products at enterprise scale, including Managed Service ProvidersDeep technical expertise across the data protection stack: backup software and storage platforms, deduplication and compression, snapshot management, replication topologies, immutable and air-gapped storage, ransomware recovery, DR orchestration, and RPO/RTO optimization across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.Proven success embedding backup, recovery, and resilience capabilities into enterprise data platforms at petabyte scale, with measurable improvements to customer SLA attainment and recovery confidence.Demonstrated knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures and their impact on backup strategy, data residency, sovereignty, storage tiering, and cost optimization.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate data protection product strategy to both technical and executive audiences.Track record of customer engagement, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking against leading backup and data protection vendors and native cloud provider capabilities.What you will bringExpertise architecting enterprise backup topologies, cyber resiliency and Agentic AI data protection strategies across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, with a focus on minimizing recovery timeHands-on knowledge of leading backup and recovery platforms (e.g., Rubrik, Veeam, Cohesity, Commvault, Zerto, NetBackup) and cloud-native backup services (AWS Backup, Azure Backup, Google Cloud Backup and DR).Ability to connect backup and recovery strategy to modern AI/ML and analytics workloads, including protecting training datasets, model checkpoints, feature stores, and data pipelines against corruption, accidental deletion, and ransomware.A strong understanding of backup retention policy design, covering lifecycle management, legal hold, eDiscovery readiness, and compliance-driven retention schedules for regulated data classes (PII, PHI, PCI) across tiered and archival storage.Vision to anticipate industry trends, next-generation backup architectures, AI-driven anomaly detection for data corruption, and data sovereignty mandates and position Teradata’s data protection offerings as differentiated and enterprise-ready.
