Senior/Staff Software Engineer - Hybrid - SF Bay Area

Role OverviewOne of our clients is looking for a Senior/Staff Software Engineer with 4+ YOE to join our small, high-performing engineering team. We need a full-stack generalist who is excited to build AI agents at the cutting edge of regulated financial services and own products end-to-end. This is a top priority hire driven by hypergrowth (8x YoY, 1500+ clients in 18 months) and the need to expand the team as we build toward a complete financial OS for millionaires.ResponsibilitiesBuild AI agents end-to-end across the agent runtime, CPA-facing tooling, and client-facing concierge experienceShip full-stack features (roughly 70% backend, 30% frontend) using Python, Django, Pydantic AI, TypeScript, React, Postgres, and GCPBuild evals, guardrails, and tooling that help the team ship agents faster and more reliably in a regulated financial services contextWork closely with CPAs in a tight validation and feedback loop, incorporating unfiltered critique into every betaOwn projects from start to finish across both internal CPA tools and client-facing products, grounding decisions in business outcomes rather than feature checklistsSeniority4+ years of experience in full-​stack software engineering experience.​Work experienceExperience building products end-​to-​end or having 0-​to-​1 ownership of features.​Experience at a VC-​Backed startup (Series A -​ C) OR clear founding/early engineer experience at a early-​stage startup.​Experience at high-​performance startups like Ramp,​ Rippling,​ Stripe,​ Brex,​ Harvey,​ or Clay.​Prior fintech experience OR strong interest in personal finance,​ taxes,​ or money.​EducationCS degree required,​ preferably from a top CS school.​Hard skillsStrong proficiency in Python and Next.​js/React.​Full-​stack capability with roughly 70% backend,​ 30% frontend split.​Heavy personal AI tooling usage (e.​g.​ Claude Code).​Experience in Django,​ Pydantic AI,​ Postgres,​ GCP.​Soft skillsArticulate communicator with strong product mindset who can work directly with customers.​Self-​driven with strong ownership and initiative.​MiscellaneousBased in SF Bay Area,​ in-​office 4 days/week.​
