Senior Storage Lead – Enterprise Infrastructure

WE’RE HIRING: STORAGE LEAD – SAUDI ARABIAAbout ExcisExcis is a global IT support and infrastructure services company with a presence in 190+ countries, a network of 6,000+ engineers, and support for 200+ enterprise clients.We provide a collaborative, people-first environment with opportunities to work with global enterprise technologies and infrastructure environments.Role SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Storage Lead to oversee enterprise storage, backup, and data protection environments.The role requires strong hands-on experience with SAN/NAS, enterprise storage, backup technologies, virtualization, disaster recovery, storage migration, capacity planning, and infrastructure troubleshooting.The Storage Lead will provide technical leadership, manage complex P1/P2 incidents, perform RCA, coordinate infrastructure changes, and support enterprise storage and DR initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesStorage & InfrastructureLead administration and support of enterprise SAN/NAS storage environments.Manage storage provisioning, configuration, expansion, migration, and decommissioning.Monitor storage availability, performance, capacity, and health.Provide technical guidance to storage and infrastructure teams.Identify risks and recommend infrastructure improvements.SAN / NAS & ConnectivityTroubleshoot complex SAN, NAS, and storage connectivity issues.Manage connectivity between servers, virtualization platforms, and storage systems.Support high-availability storage environments and critical production escalations.Coordinate with infrastructure teams and vendors to resolve complex issues.Backup & Data ProtectionLead enterprise backup administration, monitoring, and optimisation.Manage backup policies, schedules, retention, and capacity.Troubleshoot backup and recovery failures.Support technologies such as Veeam, Commvault, ExaGrid, Synology NAS, or similar platforms.Ensure critical systems have appropriate backup and recovery protection.Disaster RecoverySupport storage and backup activities for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.Ensure solutions meet defined RPO/RTO requirements.Participate in DR testing and recovery exercises.Support resilient storage, backup, and recovery solutions.Virtualization & CloudSupport storage integration with VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix.Troubleshoot storage issues affecting virtualisation environments.Support Azure Storage and Azure Backup.Assist with hybrid on-premises and Azure storage/backup solutions.Capacity, Performance & MigrationLead storage capacity planning and forecasting.Monitor storage growth, performance, and utilisation.Identify potential capacity and performance constraints.Lead or support enterprise storage upgrades, migrations, and technology refreshes.Ensure infrastructure changes and migrations are properly planned and validated.Incident Management & RCAAct as a senior escalation point for P1/P2 storage and backup incidents.Lead complex troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Coordinate technical teams and vendors during critical incidents.Implement preventive measures to reduce recurring issues.Documentation & StandardsMaintain storage and backup architecture documentation.Develop technical procedures, troubleshooting guides, and recovery documentation.Ensure infrastructure configurations and operational documentation remain accurate.Essential Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.8+ years of experience in enterprise storage, data centre infrastructure, and backup environments.Strong hands-on experience with SAN/NAS storage administration.Strong knowledge of storage connectivity, availability, performance, and capacity management.Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and/or Nutanix.Experience with Veeam, Commvault, ExaGrid, Synology NAS, or similar technologies.Strong understanding of Backup, Disaster Recovery, RPO/RTO, and data protection.Experience supporting multi-site and critical production environments.Proven experience handling P1/P2 incidents, RCA, capacity planning, and infrastructure changes.Experience with enterprise storage migration and DR solutions.Azure Storage/Azure Backup experience is advantageous.Strong technical leadership and stakeholder-management skills.Technical SkillsSAN / NAS | Enterprise Storage | Storage Connectivity | Veeam | Commvault | ExaGrid | Synology NAS | VMware | Hyper-V | Nutanix | Backup & DR | RPO/RTO | Azure Storage | Azure Backup | Storage Migration | Capacity Management | RCA | P1/P2 Incident ManagementPreferredBanking or Financial Services experience.Relevant storage, backup, virtualization, DR, or cloud certifications.Enterprise-scale storage migration experience.Experience supporti
