Senior Strategic Procurement & Supply Chain ManagerWaalwijk, North Brabant | Reporting to the COOMy client is a market-leading provider of temperature control and climate solutions, supporting customers across industrial, commercial and critical infrastructure environments.Following continued growth and investment, they are looking to appoint a Strategic Procurement & Supply Chain Manager in a newly created role that will play a key part in shaping the future of the business.This is a rare opportunity for someone who wants to build rather than inherit.Reporting directly to the COO, you'll take ownership of procurement, supplier management, supply chain and logistics activities, creating the processes, governance and strategy needed to support a growing organisation. Whilst supplier relationships and contracts are already in place, there is currently no formal procurement function, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys creating structure, implementing best practice and driving change.The RoleYou'll be responsible for developing and embedding procurement and supply chain capability across the business, balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on execution.Key responsibilities include:Developing and implementing a company-wide procurement strategy.Reviewing existing supplier agreements and driving improved commercial outcomes.Establishing procurement policies, processes and governance frameworks.Creating supplier relationship and supplier performance management programmes.Improving logistics, inventory planning and overall supply chain performance.Identifying opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements and risk mitigation.Building stronger collaboration between operations, logistics and suppliers.Developing KPIs, reporting and performance metrics.Supporting future systems and process improvement initiatives.What We're Looking For8-12+ years' experience across procurement, supply chain and logistics.Experience building functions, frameworks or processes from scratch.Strong commercial, negotiation and contract management capability.Proven success improving supplier performance and operational efficiency.Comfortable operating in a standalone position with high levels of autonomy.A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with the energy to drive change.Ability to think strategically whilst remaining close to day-to-day operations.Ideal BackgroundWe're keen to speak with professionals from:Industrial ServicesTechnical ServicesManufacturingEngineeringLogistics & DistributionAsset-Intensive EnvironmentsExperience delivering procurement transformations, greenfield procurement initiatives, supply chain optimisation programmes or supplier management improvements would be highly advantageous.Why Join?This role is best suited to someone who is hungry to make their mark.You'll have the opportunity to build procurement and supply chain capability from the ground up, work closely with senior leadership and create lasting impact in a business that recognises the strategic value of procurement, logistics and supplier management.Location: Waalwijk area, North BrabantReporting to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)Structure: Standalone role with significant scope, ownership and visibility across the business.
