We are committed to:ExcellenceResponsibilityEmpowermentConnectivityCourageTo support the Project Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets pertaining to the steel structural Engineering area of the project and to lead the civil engineering team in order to ensure that all the works are performed in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications and applicable standards.

Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager in structural analysis and design coordination of steel structure of the project and participate in determining the technical skills & staff hours required for successful completion of the project.Review the drawings, reports, specification submitted by the design office and ensure completeness, accuracy in accordance with the approved conditions and applicable standards.Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards/specifications prior to execution of any jobs.Check contractor’s correspondences on contractual issues (variation orders evaluation, extension of time, claims, etc.) and provide recommendations and pertinent replies. Also to Support Q.S/Contracts team on commercial issues as and when required.Visit work site regularly to check and verify ongoing works, quality, progress, problems or conflicts and recommends appropriate changes.Lead/Supervise Engineers, Inspectors and surveyors during construction & implementation stage as well monitor and evaluate contractor and relevant subcontractor performance.Review the contractor’s progress. Monitor the work performed, the material incorporated into the work, the materials stored at the site and the contractor’s manpower and equipment.Attend weekly in line with HSE policy, and ensure awareness and compliance with HSE rules and regulations by subordinatesprovides support wherever required in the review and audit of all structure studies/submissions and modifications.Monitor the final inspection/completion of the construction works, snagging works and handover of the complete facilities.Perform any other jobs as may be assigned by the superiors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Structural engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.Extensive experience in structural engineering with focus on steel structures with a proven track record of leading and managing mechanical design projects.* While we carefully review all applications, only candidates meeting the specified requirements will be contacted for further consideration.
