Subcontract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts operating procedures. Subcontract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, and communication of difficulties. Your work will ensure subcontract compliance with project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesSubcontract ManagementImplements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule which records the Project's agreed assignment of various subcontract management tasks and the Standard Work Process Procedures applicable to Subcontract ManagementManages assigned subcontracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficultiesCoordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, and other major mattersManage moderately complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlementSubcontract FormationConforms and ensures subcontract executionDirects negotiation in the commitment of subcontractsDevelops and issues subcontracts and services agreements as assignedPrepares bidders' lists and pre-qualifies biddersForms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved biddersCoordinates bidders' questions and answers to those questionsReceives bids and evaluates bids commerciallyPrepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendationsRecommends and secures approvals in accordance with established proceduresPrepares subcontract documents for executionPrepares and organizes assigned meetings, such as pre-bid, bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between the client, the customer and contractor on all contractual mattersAfter reviewing plan and agenda with supervisor, conducts meeting and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedulesRequired SkillsExpert knowledge of subcontract terms and conditions and EPC contracting practicesProven leadership and supervisory capabilityStrong negotiation, judgment, and decision-making skillsAbility to operate as a trusted deputy and extension of the Project Subcontracts ManagerFull-time on-site availabilityPreferred SkillsSubcontract management experience in Semiconductor, Data Center, or Life Sciences sectorsEducation RequirementsBachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years of relevant work experienceRequired Experience8–10 years of relevant experience (with bachelor's degree or international equivalent), or 12–14 years of relevant work experience in subcontract management or related fieldBenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the ClientThis client is a trusted engineering, procurement, and construction organization with more than 125 years of history delivering complex infrastructure projects across energy, infrastructure, nuclear and environmental remediation, government services, and mining and metals sectors.
