We are hiring a Senior Cost Accountant to own the monthly closing cycle and the costing function end-to-end, ensuring costs are allocated accurately and Gross Profit / Profitability reporting can be trusted at the revenue-stream and contract level.Job ResponsibilitiesOwn the month-end costing close in SAP — cost allocations, activity price runs, overhead cycles, and Internal Order settlement.Oversee the monthly allocation of Cost Center costs (labor, depreciation, overhead) to Orders and revenue streams.Manage Production and Trading costing — Finished Goods valuation, production variance, and Trading COGS for Plant Trading.Maintain contract-level profitability tracking for Landscape Maintenance and ensure intercompany transactions follow agreed transfer pricing.Prepare Gross Profit and Profitability-by-Revenue-Stream reporting against budget, supporting management reporting and KPIs.Strengthen cost allocation controls, including independent review and sign-off of monthly allocations.Act as the SAP Controlling (CO) module lead, supporting system implementation and driving automation of currently manual processes.Maintain General Ledger accounts and ensure accurate GL postings across revenue and cost streams.Support revenue recognition and reconciliation by revenue stream, tying Revenue GLs to Cost Center activity.Perform GL account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies ahead of month-end close.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiency. Act as the focal point between Botanica Finance and Group RSG Finance to ensure consistency and alignment in financial reporting and controls.Job RequirementsQualification and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.Professional certification such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.ExperienceMinimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, budgeting, and cost control.At least 2-3 years in a supervisory role leading accounting or finance functions.Experience in landscaping, construction, facilities management, hospitality, or project-based environments is preferred.Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and internal controls.Experience working with ERP systems and financial management software.Familiarity with audit processes, regulatory compliance, and financial governance requirements.SkillsStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and cost control methodologies.Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.Ability to prepare budgets, forecasts, and management reports.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines.Understanding of corporate governance, internal controls, and compliance requirements.Ability to work collaboratively with operational teams and Group Finance functions.Job ContextThe Senior Supervisor – Cost Control & Accounting operates within Botanica's Finance function and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, and cost control activities. The role supports the organization's expanding operations, including landscaping, nursery, floristry, and other commercial business lines, by providing timely financial insights and maintaining strong financial governance.The position works closely with operational departments, project teams, procurement, and Group RSG Finance to monitor financial performance, control costs, support business planning, and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. The role requires balancing day-to-day accounting responsibilities with strategic financial analysis, enabling management to make informed decisions while maintaining financial discipline and accountability across the business.As a supervisory position, the role is expected to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen internal controls, support audit activities, and ensure that financial processes remain aligned with Botanica's growth objectives and RSG financial standards.
