Location: IpswichHours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pmWorking Pattern: Hybrid (2 days remote / 3 days office-based)Salary: Competitive + Performance BonusBenefits PackageLife InsuranceIncome Protection InsurancePrivate HealthcareGym MembershipFree On-Site ParkingCompany Pension SchemeAnnual & Quarterly Performance Bonus20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (increasing with service)Christmas ShutdownReady to take full ownership of a well-respected Construction companies supply chain?We’re looking for an experienced Senior Supply & Procurement Manager to lead the end-to-end Supply Chain function for a well-established and growing international construction business.This is a brand new senior leadership role with responsibility for bringing together procurement, suppliers, inventory, S&OP, demand planning, production, logistics and distribution to deliver reliable supply, excellent service and improved efficiency.If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex supply chain challenges, and can confidently lead teams, suppliers and stakeholders — we’d love to hear from you.The RoleYou’ll take full ownership of the Supply Chain function, leading:Procurement & Supplier Management — managing global suppliers, the parent company and external partnersS&OP, Demand Planning & Forecasting — balancing demand, supply and capacity with a long-term viewInventory & Stock Management — optimising stock levels, availability and working capitalProduction Planning — including third-party and contract manufacturingLogistics, Warehousing & Distribution — working closely with the Logistics team to optimise service and efficiencySupply Chain Risk & Resilience — proactively identifying and mitigating supply disruptionReturns Management — improving processes, reducing costs and identifying underlying issuesIn short, you’ll ensure the right products are available, in the right place, at the right time — while balancing service, cost, inventory and operational efficiency.What You’ll Be DoingDevelop and execute the overall Supply Chain strategyLead a robust S&OP process, connecting Sales, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics and Product teamsDrive improved forecast accuracy, inventory optimisation and service levelsBuild and maintain strong, productive relationships with the parent company and global supplier networkNegotiate and manage supplier SLAs, performance and commercial agreementsIdentify and proactively manage supply chain risks, delays and potential disruptionsAnalyse data and KPIs to identify root causes, bottlenecks, waste and opportunities for improvementLead initiatives that reduce cost, improve productivity and increase operational efficiencyDevelop and improve Supply Chain systems, processes and reportingEnsure appropriate import and export compliance across the UK operationWork closely with the Head of Logistics and wider business to create a fully integrated Supply Chain approachLeadershipYou’ll lead and develop a Supply Chain team of 13, creating a high-performing, collaborative and engaging environment.You’ll be responsible for:Developing capability, performance and accountability across the teamTraining, coaching and succession planningSetting objectives and conducting performance reviewsMaintaining appropriate training and competency levelsSupporting the team through periods of high demand and operational pressureLeading by example and creating a positive, inclusive and solutions-focused cultureWhat We’re Looking ForProven senior-level experience across Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics or a related functionStrong experience of S&OP, demand planning, forecasting and inventory managementDemonstrable experience managing suppliers and commercial relationshipsProven people-management and leadership experienceStrong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skillsExperience using ERP systems, data and KPIs to drive performanceExcellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skillsA proactive approach to risk management and supply-chain resilienceThe ability to remain calm, decisive and solutions-focused when things don’t go to planDesirableLean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement experienceExperience of contract or third-party manufacturingKnowledge of UK import and export requirementsExperience working within an international supply chainExperience developing Supply Chain systems, processes or reportingWhy This Role?This is an opportunity to make a genuine strategic impact — leading a significant Supply Chain function, developing a team of 13, strengthening supplier relationships and driving improvements across the wider business.If you’re ready to take ownership, solve problems and build a more resilient, efficient and high-performing Supply Chain, we want to hear from you.
