Position SummaryNhara Healthcare Industries is seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Supply Chain & International Logistics Manager to own and execute end-to-end supply chain, international trade, import/export, logistics, inventory coordination and related SAP S/4HANA activities.This is not a freight-forwarder coordination role.Freight forwarders, customs brokers, couriers and transport companies are service providers—not substitutes for the candidate’s own supply-chain and international-trade expertise.Manage independently:Purchase Order → Supplier → Production Readiness → Documentation → Export → Freight → Saudi Customs → Clearance → Delivery → Warehouse → SAP S/4HANA → Inventory Availability → ClosureOutbound:Shipment Requirement → Classification → Documentation → Customs Description → Export Requirements → Freight/Courier → Destination Requirements → Shipment → Customs Clearance → Delivery ConfirmationKnow what needs to happen, how, who is responsible and when, and drive every action to completion.1. End-to-End Supply Chain OwnershipPersonally monitor and manage open purchase orders.Follow suppliers from PO issuance through manufacturing, goods readiness and dispatch.Confirm and challenge supplier production and delivery schedules.Maintain visibility of raw materials, components, finished products and critical supplies.Identify potential shortages before they affect manufacturing or customer commitments.Coordinate material requirements against production plans.Determine when expedited, partial or alternative shipments are necessary.Manage supplier delivery performance and recurring supply problems.Maintain accurate ETDs, ETAs, goods-ready dates and delivery commitments.Coordinate inbound receipt with warehouse and production.Ensure physical receipt, documentation and SAP transactions are aligned.Investigate shortages, overages, damaged shipments and receiving discrepancies.Drive every open supply-chain action through final closure.2. Direct International Logistics ExecutionSelect air, sea, road, courier or multimodal transport based on urgency, cost, customs and product characteristics.Apply Incoterms and define responsibilities between Nhara, suppliers and logistics providers.Arrange bookings/pickups and origin export formalities.Track cargo, anticipate clearance, manage Saudi customs clearance and delivery to Nhara.Confirm physical delivery and system receipt.Handle urgent/production-critical and specialized freight.Review and negotiate freight quotations and logistics charges.Instruct forwarders what must be done; do not rely on them to determine the process.3. Saudi Customs & Import/Export ExpertiseStrong practical Saudi customs/import-export experience required; regulated healthcare/medical-device experience preferred.Must understand Saudi import requirements for medical devices, finished products, raw materials, components, packaging, samples, manufacturing machinery, spare parts, testing and laboratory materials.Determine documentation before shipment.Understand and verify HS classification principles.Coordinate certificates of origin and required trade documents.Identify customs risks and resolve queries/holds.Work with customs brokers while retaining internal ownership.Coordinate with Quality/Regulatory Affairs for SFDA/regulatory documents.Maintain import/export records.Recognize and challenge incorrect/incomplete broker or forwarder information.4. International Samples — Critical ResponsibilityOwn rapid, compliant medical-device sample movement into/out of Saudi Arabia for customers, hospitals, distributors, laboratories, suppliers and partners.Determine/document:Accurate product description, intended purpose and material/composition where required.Sterile/non-sterile status; commercial vs evaluation/sample status.Quantity, declared value and country of origin.Appropriate HS classification and applicable import/export requirements.Supporting regulatory documentation.Prepare clear, accurate customs descriptions to minimize questions/delays.Prepare sample-shipment documentation; select courier/freight method.Establish destination-country requirements; coordinate inbound/outbound samples.Resolve customs holds; maintain reusable approved templates.Track every sample door-to-door until confirmed delivery.5. Freight Forwarder & Customs Broker ManagementMust have strong Saudi/international logistics network covering freight forwarders, customs brokers, air cargo, shipping lines, couriers, transport, warehouses and specialized medical-device logistics.Forwarders/brokers are execution partners; the Manager remains accountable for shipment, documentation, timing, clearance and delivery.6. Shipping & Trade DocumentationPrepare/review commercial/proforma invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, AWBs, bills of lading, shipping instructions, HS classifications, product/customs descriptions, import/export, freight, customs, delivery and supplier shipping documents, and applicable regulatory documents.Review documentation before supplier dispatch; accuracy, completeness and traceability are essential.7. SAP S/4HANA — Hands-On RequirementMust work in SAP S/4HANA; SAP activities should not routinely be handed to an administrator. Strong practical SAP MM required; S/4HANA logistics highly desirable.Manage POs/open quantities and monitor supplier/inbound deliveries.Support/monitor goods receipt.Review material availability, inventory and stock status.Investigate PO, shipment, physical receipt and SAP discrepancies.Monitor outstanding materials and support inventory management.Maintain accurate supply-chain data.Understand material master and supply-chain master data.Work across procurement, warehouse, production and logistics.Familiarity with MM, SD, PP and WM/EWM integration highly desirable. Must understand how the physical supply chain is represented in SAP and keep both aligned.8. Production Supply & Material AvailabilityEnsure production materials are available when needed.Monitor requirements against production plans; track critical/long-lead materials.Identify shortages early and expedite suppliers.Coordinate priorities across procurement, logistics, warehouse and production.Prevent avoidable production stoppages.Monitor safety stock/replenishment and optimize inventory without compromising production.Develop alternative supply/logistics plans for critical materials.Escalate risks early with proposed solutions.9. Daily Control & Follow-ThroughExceptional personal discipline is mandatory.Maintain daily control of:Open POs • Supplier production • Goods-ready dates • Pickup bookings • Documentation • ETDs • ETAs • Customs clearance • Deliveries • Material shortages • Samples • SAP receipts • Discrepancies • Supplier commitments • Regulatory documents • Critical spare partsEvery open item must have:Current Status → Responsible Person → Next Action → Due Date → Follow-Up → ClosureReview critical items daily. Sending an email is not completion; follow up until the result is achieved and documented. Nothing should fall through because a supplier, broker, forwarder or internal employee failed to respond.10. Quality & Medical-Device DocumentationCombine speed/commercial execution with quality-system discipline in Nhara’s regulated medical-device environment.Follow applicable QMS procedures and maintain traceable supply-chain records.Ensure correct documentation accompanies incoming materials/products.Work with Quality on receiving discrepancies and supplier nonconformities.Support supplier investigations, CAPA/root-cause investigations and supplier/material/logistics change control.Support audits.Maintain records and ensure transactions withstand regulatory/quality review.In medical-device manufacturing, speed without documentation is not successful execution.Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.8–15+ years of substantial supply-chain and international logistics experience.Extensive practical experience importing goods into Saudi Arabia.Strong Saudi customs/import-export knowledge.Experience preparing/reviewing international shipping documents and HS classification.Strong Incoterms and international freight knowledge.Experience managing urgent international shipments; international sample-shipment experience highly desirable.Medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare manufacturing or another regulated industry strongly preferred.Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA, particularly MM and logistics processes.Excellent English; Arabic highly desirable.Established Saudi freight-forwarding, customs and logistics relationships preferred.The Profile We Are Looking ForNhara is not looking for a candidate whose logistics experience consists primarily of sending shipment details to forwarders and following up for status updates. We need the internal supply-chain expert.The candidate should receive a requirement and independently determine:What needs to move →From where →By when →Under which Incoterm →With which documentation →Under which classification →By which transport method → Through which customs process → At what cost → Into which inventory location → Through which SAP transactions → What happens next.Ideal candidate should:Know the status of every critical shipment without needing to ask others.Understand documentation and discuss clearance problems technically with customs brokers.Challenge freight forwarders and identify incorrect supplier shipping documents.Anticipate customs issues before shipment.Understand how international freight actually moves.Be exceptionally organized and comfortable in SAP S/4HANA.Follow critical actions daily and escalate problems early.Bring management solutions/options, not simply problems.Maintain control during urgent shipments and production needs.Take personal ownership until goods/samples physically reach their destination and the transaction is properly closed.
