The Senior Supply Chain Manager oversees end-to-end logistics, warehousing, and customer fulfillment activities for a temperature-sensitive snack food company. This role manages third-party warehouses (3PLs), e-commerce fulfillment centers, and temperature-controlled freight, ensuring product integrity and cost efficiency. The Senior Supply Chain Manager also leads a Customer Service Manager who handles day-to-day order management and customer communication, while this role focuses on strategic performance, network optimization, and budget accountability.Leadership & Team ManagementDirectly manage the Customer Service Manager, ensuring alignment between customer service, logistics, and supply chain operationsProvide mentorship and oversight into customer order flow, distributor compliance, and daily reporting activitiesDevelop and manage team KPIs for on-time delivery, order accuracy, and customer satisfactionFoster a culture of collaboration and accountability across logistics, customer service, production planning, and salesWarehouse & 3PL ManagementOversee all third-party warehouse operations, including inventory accuracy, order processing, and adherence to temperature control requirementsConduct on-site audits and quarterly business reviews with warehouse and fulfillment partnersEnsure effective cycle counting and annual physical inventory processes, reconciling discrepancies and maintaining ERP accuracyTrack and report monthly warehouse expenses against budget; identify cost drivers and opportunities for savingsE-Commerce & Amazon FulfillmentManage logistics operations for e-commerce fulfillment (including direct-to-consumer and Amazon programs: FBA, FBM, and SFP)Partner with the Customer Service Manager to monitor Amazon Vendor Central/Seller Central metrics such as OTIF, chargebacks, and inventory healthEnsure packaging, storage, and shipping standards maintain product temperature and integrityCoordinate with marketing and operations for new product launches and seasonal demand surgesFreight & TransportationOversee all outbound temperature-controlled freight, including shipments to distributors, e-commerce centers, and direct customersNegotiate freight rates and contracts; maintain optimal balance between service quality and cost efficiencyMonitor carrier performance, temperature compliance, and freight claims, implementing corrective actions when neededAnalyze freight spend and identify network or mode optimization opportunitiesDistributor & Retail SupportUtilize UNFI, KeHE, and other distributor reporting to monitor fill rates, OTIF performance, and chargebacksPartner with the Customer Service Manager to troubleshoot order delays, shortages, or compliance issuesWork cross-functionally with Sales and Planning to address root causes of service failures and improve retailer performance metricsContinuous Improvement & StrategyLead initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, cost performance, and data visibilityPartner with IT and external consultants to improve ERP (NetSuite) and reporting functionalitySupport company goals around sustainability, packaging efficiency, and transportation carbon reductionMaintain knowledge of FSMA, temperature-controlled logistics, and food safety compliance standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of relevant experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain/logistics within a CPG, food, or beverage company(temperature-sensitive preferred)Experience with US export to Canada or Mexico is a plusProven leadership experience managing both logistics and customer service functionsExpertise with 3PL operations, temperature-controlled freight, and distributor logistics (UNFI, KeHE, etc.)Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and warehouse management systems (WMS)Familiarity with Amazon Vendor Central / Seller Central programsStrong analytical and financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgetsExcellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skillsWhy You’ll Love Working HereCompetitive salaryAnnual performance bonusEquity opportunityExcellent medical, dental, and vision benefits401(k)3 weeks paid vacation + 14 paid holidaysPaid parental leavePaid time off to volunteerWellness & technology stipendsFun, entrepreneurial culture with room to make a real impactOur MissionWe craft food that nourishes your body and your spirit.
