We are seeking an experienced supply chain leader to oversee global trade compliance programs, customs operations, and strategic supply chain initiatives while ensuring regulatory adherence, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage daily import/export operations, ensuring efficient execution of international trade activities and compliance requirements.Oversee customs clearance processes by collaborating with customs brokers, logistics partners, and key stakeholders to support timely movement of goods.Develop, implement, and maintain global trade compliance programs, policies, procedures, and controls aligned with applicable regulatory requirements.Serve as a subject matter expert for import/export regulations, providing guidance to internal teams and external partners on trade-related matters.Establish and manage audit programs to evaluate trade activities, documentation accuracy, valuation practices, and regulatory compliance.Oversee product and commodity classification processes, including tariff classifications, export classifications, country of origin determinations, and other trade-related categorizations.Ensure accurate recordkeeping and documentation management in support of import/export compliance and organizational standards.Design and deliver trade compliance training programs to cross-functional stakeholders, promoting awareness and adherence to regulatory requirements.Monitor transactions and business activities to support compliance screening, risk mitigation, and regulatory obligations.Conduct assessments and audits throughout the product lifecycle to identify compliance risks and support proactive resolution efforts.Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness, compliance performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.Partner with departments such as logistics, supply chain, operations, commercial teams, legal, finance, research, and manufacturing to support business objectives and trade activities.Identify cost-saving opportunities, process enhancements, and operational efficiencies while providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.Lead strategic projects and initiatives that strengthen global trade operations and overall supply chain performance.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.Extensive experience in international trade compliance, global logistics, customs operations, supply chain management, or related functions.Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, trade compliance practices, and global supply chain operations.Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing compliance programs, operational controls, and process improvement initiatives.Demonstrated leadership experience managing complex projects, cross-functional teams, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with a focus on risk management and operational excellence.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization.Preferred SkillsProfessional certification or licensing related to customs, international trade, logistics, or supply chain management.Deep understanding of global trade regulations, customs frameworks, and compliance best practices.Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring activities.Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and global trade management platforms.Project management experience with a track record of leading strategic initiatives and process transformation projects.Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.Strong business acumen with experience identifying cost optimization opportunities and operational improvements.Self-motivated leader capable of working independently while driving results in a highly collaborative environment.
