This is a pivotal opportunity to help shape a new and expanding team, strengthen our technical capability, and enhance Kent’s presence and reputation across the sector.Description for Internal CandidatesRole scope To manage critical procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves contract negotiations, supplier management, and procurement strategy execution. The incumbent works closely with project teams to align procurement efforts with business needs, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and ensures compliance with procurement regulations and policies. They also support procurement reporting and analytics, track market trends, and assist in supplier performance evaluations.Details / responsibilities Execute procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of subcontracts, materials and servicesConduct supplier evaluations and manage vendor relationshipsSupport contract negotiations and ensure compliance with procurement policiesPost-award management of assigned subcontracts and procurement packagesAssist in procurement reporting and tracking performance against objectivesProvide technical support to procurement teams and contribute to process improvementsPerform other duties as requiredQualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related fieldCertification such as CIPS or equivalent is beneficial7+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.Strong understanding of purchase-to-pay processes and supplier management.Experience with procurement tools and ERP systems.Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and manage procurement risks.Strong communication and stakeholder management skillsBehavioral Competency At Kent, you’ll be trusted to work independently and autonomously, with support when you need it.
