Senior System Engineer

Role Summary:Seeking an experienced Linux Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain secure, high-availability Linux environments (Ubuntu preferred). You'll manage system performance, automation, and virtualization, while supporting critical infrastructure and collaborating on continuous improvements.Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and desktops (Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS).Automate system deployments and configurations.Monitor and optimize performance, backups, and security.Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues.Manage virtualization (KVM, VMware) and maintain documentation.Respond to critical outages and support escalated issues.Qualifications:8+ years in Linux system administration (Ubuntu/RedHat) in production environments.Strong skills in KVM, networking, storage (CEPH a plus), and system security.Proficient in automation (Ansible, Jenkins, scripting in Python/Bash).Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, OpenStack/OpenNebula a plus.Familiarity with Canonical tools (MAAS, Landscape) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
