Senior System Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced systems engineering leader with a proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex, large-scale solutions across the full systems engineering lifecycle. Strong technical foundation, people leadership capabilities, and experience driving successful outcomes in complex, multi-disciplinary engineering environments.ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.Provide technical and people leadership across the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements management, architecture, design, development, integration, verification, validation, deployment, and operational support.Drive project execution, resource planning, prioritization, risk management, and delivery of complex, software-intensive systems.Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business, operational, and customer requirements.Establish and promote systems engineering best practices, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.Manage team performance, career development, coaching, and succession planning.Ensure effective management of technical risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery milestones.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.10+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration engineering, or related technical disciplines.Minimum 5 years of direct people management experience, including leading, mentoring, and growing engineering teams. Relevant experience within safety-critical system environment – open to industries such as Aerospace, Defense, Transportation, Telecommunications, Critical Infrastructure, Industrial Automation, or similar complex engineering environments.Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, large-scale systems through the full end-to-end systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements definition and solution architecture through integration, testing, deployment, and operational handover.Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments, distributed systems, and modern software delivery practices.Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery environments.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.PreferredExperience managing multidisciplinary teams across systems, software, test, and integration engineering functions.Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, cloud technologies, and virtualization platforms.Exposure to regulated, safety-critical, or high-availability environments.Familiarity with systems engineering frameworks, verification and validation methodologies, and configuration management practices.Important Notes:Interested candidates kindly forward your CV to yingjun@peoplesearch.jobs (Yingjun Chen, Reg No. R1216690).
