SteerAI’s advanced AI-powered autonomy stack, developed by the Technology Innovation Institute, empowers the logistics and defense industries by turning industrial vehicles into autonomous powerhouses that can handle complex off-road missions, transform operations and protecting organizations' most important assets: their workforce.Role OverviewIn this role, you'll lead the integration and deployment of our robotic vehicle platform, combining deep technical expertise with team leadership. You'll own platform reliability, sensor integration strategy, system architecture, and team capability development.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of integration engineers; establish standards, processes, and best practicesDesign and execute integration testing, validation, and field deployment strategiesDevelop sensor drivers and integration solutions for Ethernet/CAN-based devices; manage calibration and data qualityLead platform bring-up and system integration campaigns from hardware validation through field readinessEstablish and manage containerized development environments, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automationDrive technical investigations and troubleshooting for complex integration issues; conduct code/design reviewsCollaborate cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, autonomy, and manufacturing teams on integration strategyQualifications & Competencies5-7+ years professional experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or complex hardware-software integrationStrong Linux expertise with kernel, driver, and system administration knowledgeAdvanced C++ and/or Python programming with software engineering best practicesExpert-level hardware-software integration troubleshooting and systematic debuggingDeep knowledge of networking, CAN communication, and timing concepts (PTP, ROS time sync)Proficiency with Docker, CI/CD systems, and automated deployment workflowsDemonstrated team leadership experience with mentoring and technical guidanceSystems-level thinking across the full robotics stack (drivers to high-level autonomy integration)Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred SkillsROS2 or similar robotic middleware experienceExposure to robotic sensors (LiDAR, cameras, GNSS, IMU)Automotive or transportation systems standardsSystem performance profiling and optimizationSafety-critical systems and failure analysisAgile/scrum experience in robotics or autonomous systemsTrack record of building or scaling engineering teamsWhat We OfferWe provide a competitive, tax-free salary and a comprehensive benefits package in a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive work environment.Our benefits include an education allowance, free on-site meals, annual flight allowance, health coverage, relocation support (if applicable), and access to well-being activities such as sports and recreational events.Join us to drive innovation and shape the future of technology!
