Senior Tandem / Mainframe Developer – HP NonStop | COBOL | TACL | Enscribe

Location: TorontoJob Type: ContractJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Tandem / Mainframe Developer with strong experience in HP NonStop (Tandem) and/or Mainframe technologies.

The candidate will be responsible for application development, maintenance, enhancements, and production support.Required SkillsStrong experience in Tandem / HP NonStop development.Experience with COBOL and TACL.Experience with Enscribe and/or SQL/MP, SQL/MX.Good knowledge of Mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.Experience in application development, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Experience with production support and incident resolution.Ability to analyze requirements and develop technical solutions.Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, enhance, and maintain Tandem/Mainframe applications.Analyze business and technical requirements.Perform coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.Work with cross-functional teams to deliver application changes.Prepare technical documentation and support application releases.PreferredExperience working in Banking / Financial Services is a plus.Experience with Tandem-to-Mainframe or Mainframe-to-Tandem integration/migration is preferred.Experience with batch processing and production support is an advantage.
