Senior Tax Analyst

OverviewOur client, a multi-billion-dollar manufacturing company, is hiring a Senior Tax Analyst in Pittsburgh. This is a broad role with exposure across all tax specialties, including indirect tax, tax accounting, and tax compliance, working directly with the Tax Director and senior tax leadership.ResponsibilitiesCompile and complete sales and use tax returns to keep the company and its subsidiaries in compliance with state and local filing requirements.Prepare and complete sales and use tax refund claims as needed.Resolve sales and use tax notices.Perform monthly reconciliation of domestic tax account balances and the sales and use tax accrual account.Support the Tax Director with quarterly income tax calculations and income tax provision analysis.Support the Senior Manager of Federal & State Tax with federal and state income tax return preparation, including estimated income tax calculations.Support the State Tax Manager with franchise tax return preparation.Handle miscellaneous tax filings.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.Minimum of 3 years of tax compliance experience.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment eligibility will be verified at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Preferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of accounting journal entries (strongly preferred).Advanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with CorpTax, CorpSales, and Oracle EBS is a plus.Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
