Senior Techanical Architect

Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Architect in riyadh with 10+ years of professional experience to lead the technical development, coordination, and delivery of architectural projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring design integrity, technical compliance, constructability, and coordination across all project disciplines from concept design through construction documentation and project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Design LeadershipLead the development and review of architectural designs throughout all project stages.Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, authority requirements, and industry standards.Provide technical direction and guidance to project teams during design development and construction documentation phases.Review and approve technical design solutions, architectural details, and project specifications.Design CoordinationCoordinate architectural deliverables with structural, MEP, landscape, and specialist consultants.Lead multidisciplinary design coordination workshops and clash-resolution meetings.Ensure seamless integration between architectural design intent and engineering requirements.Review BIM models and coordinate project information across disciplines.Construction DocumentationOversee the preparation and quality review of construction drawings, technical specifications, schedules, and tender documentation.Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all technical deliverables.Develop and maintain architectural standards, templates, and technical guidelines.Technical Review & Quality AssuranceConduct technical audits and peer reviews of project documentation.Review shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, mock-ups, and technical submissions.Ensure projects meet quality standards, constructability requirements, and client expectations.Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.Authority Approvals & ComplianceCoordinate with regulatory authorities and consultants to secure required approvals.Ensure project compliance with local regulations, accessibility standards, fire and life safety requirements, and sustainability requirements.Support project teams during authority review and approval processes.Project SupportProvide technical support during tendering, procurement, and construction phases.Assist project teams in resolving technical and design-related issues.Participate in value engineering exercises and design optimization initiatives.Support project managers in monitoring design deliverables, timelines, and project objectives.Leadership & MentorshipMentor architects and technical team members.Establish and maintain technical best practices across projects.Support knowledge sharing and continuous professional development within the design team.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.Minimum 10 years of professional architectural experience, with at least 5 years in a senior technical role.Proven experience in large-scale residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of international building codes, technical standards, and construction methodologies.Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, Navisworks, and related design software.Experience in preparing and reviewing construction documentation and technical specifications.Strong understanding of authority approval processes and regulatory compliance requirements.Professional registration or accreditation is preferred.Core CompetenciesAdvanced technical and detailing expertise.Strong knowledge of building systems and construction technologies.Excellent design coordination and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.High attention to quality, accuracy, and technical compliance.Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management capabilities.Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Location: Riyadh📩 Apply by sending your CV to: hr@umqstudio.com
