Senior Technical Engineer

China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC ME) is hiring a Senior Technical Engineer with strong experiences large-scale tunnelling and sewerage infrastructure projects, preferably within Dubai / UAE. Candidate with a strong understanding of micro tunnelling, TBM/pipe jacking, shaft construction, temporary works, geotechnical interfaces, and underground utilities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the technical engineering function for tunnelling and sewerage network works.Review and coordinate design deliverables, construction methodologies, shop drawings, calculations, specifications and technical submissions.Provide technical leadership for micro tunnelling, pipe jacking, TBM works, shafts, sewer pipelines and associated structures.Coordinate with the Consultant, Client, design consultants, subcontractors, authorities and construction teams to resolve technical issues and interfaces.Review tunnelling and underground construction methodologies and ensure their technical suitability and constructability.Lead the technical resolution of complex site issues involving ground conditions, groundwater, settlement, pipe alignment, shaft interfaces, existing utilities and structures.Manage technical interfaces between tunnelling works and other project disciplines, including roads, utilities, structures, MEP and temporary works.Review and provide technical direction on method statements, ITPs, temporary works and construction proposals.Identify technical risks, constraints and potential delays and develop appropriate mitigation measures.Lead technical meetings with the Consultant, Client, subcontractors and relevant stakeholders.Ensure timely responses to RFIs, technical queries, design comments, NCRs and site technical issues.Coordinate with the planning and commercial teams regarding technical matters affecting programme, variations, claims and project risks.Monitor the progress and quality of technical submissions and ensure compliance with project requirements.Review subcontractor technical performance and ensure that technical deliverables are aligned with project programme requirements.Ensure compliance with applicable Dubai Municipality, RTA, DEWA and other relevant authority requirements, project specifications and contractual obligations.Provide technical support to construction teams and ensure that approved designs and methodologies are properly implemented on site.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.Solid knowledge in tunnelling, geotechnical engineering or a related discipline is an advantage.10-12+ years of relevant experience in major infrastructure projects, with significant experience in tunnelling and underground sewerage works.Proven experience in microtunnelling / pipe jacking and/or TBM tunnelling.Interested candidates are invited to explore these opportunities and submit the updated CVs to: careers_cscib@cscec.ae
