Senior Technical Engineer – Exhibitions & Events

Location: Dubai, UAEIndustry: Exhibitions, Events & Stand ConstructionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Engineer with a strong background in exhibition stand construction and fit-out.The main responsibility of this role is to convert approved 3D exhibition designs into complete, accurate and buildable technical drawings for factory production and site installation.

Key Responsibilities

Review 3D designs received from the Design Team and convert them into detailed technical/shop drawings.Prepare complete drawing packages including:Floor plans and setting-out drawingsElevations and sectionsWall and partition detailsCeiling and hanging detailsPlatform and flooring detailsJoinery and furniture detailsLED screen and AV integration detailsElectrical and lighting layoutsGlass, metal, acrylic and special fabrication detailsBranding and signage locationsConstruction and assembly detailsDevelop practical construction solutions while maintaining the approved design intent.Identify technical issues in the 3D design before drawings are released for production.Coordinate with Project Managers, Designers, Production/Factory and Site Teams.Ensure drawings consider actual materials, dimensions, fabrication methods and installation sequence.Prepare detailed drawings that can be clearly understood by carpenters, metal fabricators and site teams.Coordinate technical requirements with AV, lighting, rigging and other specialist suppliers.Revise drawings based on client, organizer, production or site comments.Check dimensions, materials and technical feasibility before issuing drawings for production.Support the production and site teams with technical clarifications during fabrication and installation.Ensure technical drawings comply with venue, organizer and relevant safety requirements.Required Experience & Skills:Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in exhibition stands, events, temporary structures or high-end fit-out.Strong experience converting 3D concepts into production-ready technical drawings.Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD is essential.Good understanding of 3ds Max, SketchUp or similar 3D software.Strong knowledge of exhibition construction, joinery, steel/metal fabrication, glass, acrylic, flooring and finishing materials.Understanding of LED screens, AV, lighting, electrical requirements and suspended/hanging elements.Ability to understand how a design will actually be fabricated, assembled, transported and installed.Strong attention to dimensions, details and constructability.Ability to work under tight exhibition deadlines and manage several projects simultaneously.Previous UAE/GCC exhibition experience is highly preferred.#Hiring #DubaiJobs #UAEJobs #TechnicalEngineer #SeniorTechnicalEngineer #Exhibitions #Events #ExhibitionDesign #ExhibitionStands #StandConstruction #TechnicalDrawings #ShopDrawings #AutoCAD #FitOut #EventProduction #Fabrication #Joinery #SiteInstallation #ProductionDrawings #ExhibitionIndustry #EventsIndustry #CareersDubai
