Employment Type: Full-time | On-siteRequired Experience: At least 5 years of relevant architectural experience, including at least 3 years in architectural technical office roles within Saudi Arabia.Availability: Immediate joining required.Applicants must currently be based in Saudi Arabia.ABOUT THE ROLEQWAED AL-EMMAR (QAE) is seeking a Senior Technical Office Architect with strong hands-on expertise in architectural shop drawings, construction detailing, and coordination across disciplines and departments, with previous involvement in large-scale hospitality, commercial, and residential projects.The successful candidate will translate design requirements into accurate, coordinated, and buildable drawing packages, follow up on approvals, and resolve technical conflicts in collaboration with consultants, project management, site teams, interior designers, procurement, suppliers, and subcontractors.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and review architectural shop drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, construction details, finishing layouts, reflected ceiling plans, and door, window, and finish schedules.Review design drawings, specifications, and relevant bills of quantities to identify discrepancies, missing information, and constructability issues.Coordinate architectural works with structural and MEP disciplines, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and firefighting systems, resolving conflicts involving levels, openings, service routes, and access and maintenance requirements.Develop construction details for flooring, ceilings, partitions, façades, fixed joinery, and finishes, coordinating their interfaces with waterproofing systems and other works.Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical submittals, and address and follow up on consultant comments until closure.Review supplier and subcontractor drawings, material submittals, samples, and technical data for compliance with approved drawings and specifications.Prepare, review, and coordinate Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) layouts and schedules within the project scope, including loose and custom-made furniture, decorative lighting, curtains, soft furnishings, accessories, and relevant equipment.Review FF&E dimensions, materials, finishes, fabrication drawings, and samples.

Coordinate installation, fixing, and electrical or plumbing connections where required, in collaboration with interior designers, relevant engineering disciplines, procurement, and suppliers.Coordinate FF&E with architectural works, fixed joinery, circulation routes, and building services, and follow up on mock-up and model-room approvals where applicable.Maintain close coordination between the technical office, project management, site teams, and procurement to align approved drawings and materials with construction requirements and project schedules.Maintain drawing registers, revision control, submission schedules, and approval tracking, ensuring that site teams use the latest approved documents.Attend technical coordination meetings, document decisions, follow up on actions, and develop practical solutions to site issues for review and approval.Prepare and review as-built drawings based on verified site information and approved changes.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.At least 5 years of relevant architectural experience, including at least 3 years in architectural technical office roles within Saudi Arabia, with hands-on experience in shop drawing preparation.Previous involvement in large-scale hospitality, commercial, and residential projects, with clear details of project scale, stages, and personal responsibilities.Strong ability to personally prepare and review architectural shop drawings and construction details accurately and efficiently.Direct experience coordinating architectural, structural, and MEP works, and working across technical office, site, procurement, supplier, and subcontractor teams.Strong knowledge of construction methods, architectural materials, finishing systems, and installation details used on projects in Saudi Arabia.Familiarity with Saudi Building Code requirements and specifications relevant to the architectural scope.Practical knowledge of FF&E coordination and the review of related schedules, specifications, and supplier drawings.Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and technical specifications.Ability to prepare technical correspondence and RFIs and communicate professionally in English.Strong attention to detail, technical problem-solving, follow-up, prioritization, and deadline management.Currently based in Saudi Arabia and available for immediate joining and full-time, on-site work in Riyadh.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSTechnical office experience with construction contractors.Experience with high-end hospitality projects, complex interior finishes, model rooms, and hotel operator requirements.Proficiency in Revit and experience with BIM coordination and clash review using Navisworks.Experience reviewing and guiding the work of architects and drafting teams.HOW TO APPLYCandidates who meet all essential requirements are invited to email their application to:hr@aljammaz-co.comEmail subject:Senior Technical Office Architect – Full Name – Current CityRequired attachments:Updated CV: A PDF showing employers, employment dates, and relevant experience within Saudi Arabia.Work portfolio: A concise PDF showing architectural shop drawings, construction details, and coordination work personally prepared or contributed to, with your role clearly identified.Relevant project list: State each project’s name, location, type, approximate scale, project stage, and your personal responsibilities.
