As a Senior Technical Project Specialist – Salesforce Marketing Cloud, you will play a critical role in translating marketing and business requirements into scalable technology solutions across our customer engagement ecosystem.You will work closely with marketing, campaign, operations, product, data and engineering teams to understand business needs, identify opportunities, define requirements and drive the implementation of capabilities across Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and related marketing technologies.This role is ideal for an experienced SFMC functional/technical professional who understands how marketing campaigns are designed and executed and can bridge the gap between business requirements and technology delivery.You will also help evolve our SFMC capabilities by identifying platform gaps, recommending solutions, driving enhancements and ensuring that new capabilities are implemented effectively and adopted by marketing stakeholders.The position will be based in our Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bengaluru, India, and will interface extensively with business stakeholders and technology leads based in the United States, including Seattle, Pleasanton, Denver, Plano and Boise.Main responsibilities:Act as a functional and technical subject-matter expert for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, supporting Email, Push and SMS/RCS marketing capabilities.Partner with marketing and business stakeholders to understand campaign objectives, business problems and customer engagement requirements and translate them into clear functional and technical requirements.Define use cases, process flows, functional specifications, acceptance criteria and technical requirements required to deliver new SFMC capabilities and enhancements.Work closely with SFMC developers, architects, data engineers and other technology teams to design and implement scalable solutions.Provide functional guidance across Journey Builder, Email Studio, MobileConnect, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, Data Extensions, Cloud Pages and related SFMC capabilities.Support audience segmentation, personalization, dynamic content and customer journey requirements, including the integration of upstream customer and marketing data sources.Evaluate existing SFMC capabilities, identify gaps and recommend improvements, enhancements or integrations to address business and campaign requirements.Drive projects and enhancements from requirements and solution definition through development, testing, deployment and production support.Coordinate with onshore and offshore engineering teams, business users, vendors and platform partners to ensure successful delivery.Lead requirement clarification, solution discussions, issue resolution, dependency management and delivery governance across multiple stakeholders.Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritization, status reviews and release planning.Work with marketing teams to improve campaign scalability, marketer productivity, personalization and operational efficiency.Support modernization of personalized and dynamic content capabilities using data and customer insights from upstream platforms.Partner with data and analytics teams to ensure customer data, audience segments and campaign attributes are available and usable within SFMC.Support integration of SFMC with CRM, customer data platforms, APIs and other enterprise systems as required.Define and maintain documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, solution documentation, process flows and implementation plans.Monitor delivery quality and platform performance and proactively identify risks, defects, data issues and operational gaps.Serve as a key bridge between business/marketing stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring that business intent is accurately translated into technology solutions.What we are searching for:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing Technology, Digital Technology or a related discipline.6+ years of experience in Marketing Technology, Marketing Automation, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or related customer engagement technologies.Strong hands-on or functional experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).Strong understanding of one or more SFMC capabilities including:Journey BuilderEmail StudioMobile ConnectAutomation StudioContact BuilderData ExtensionsAudience segmentationPersonalizationDynamic contentCloud PagesAPIs / integrationsExperience translating business and marketing requirements into functional requirements, solution designs and technical specifications.Experience working closely with SFMC developers, architects, data teams and business stakeholders to deliver marketing campaigns and platform enhancements.Experience with customer segmentation, personalization and dynamic content at scale.Understanding of customer data flows, integrations and data models supporting marketing campaigns.Experience managing multiple projects, releases, enhancements or workstreams in an Agile environment.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with business and technical teams across different geographies and time zones.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business problems and translate them into practical technology solutions.Experience working with enterprise marketing technology ecosystems, CRM platforms, CDPs or customer data platforms is preferred.Experience in retail, e-commerce, consumer, loyalty or high-volume customer engagement environments is preferred.Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications such as Marketing Cloud Administrator, Email Specialist or Consultant are a strong advantage.The ideal candidate:You are someone who can sit with a marketing stakeholder and understand “what are we trying to achieve?”, translate that into “what should the SFMC solution look like?”, and then work with the technical team to answer “how do we build and deliver it?”You don’t need to be a pure developer or a traditional Product Manager.You should be a strong SFMC functional/technical professional who can own requirements, solution discussions and delivery while confidently working with business and engineering teams.
