Senior Technical Software Engineer – DevOps

About the RoleOur client is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Software Engineer – DevOps to drive DevOps, cloud automation, and site reliability practices across enterprise-scale technology platforms. This role focuses on designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks, and deployment strategies while ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead DevOps and cloud adoption initiatives, partnering with architecture and security teams to define scalable solutions.Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment processes.Drive reliability, performance, monitoring, capacity planning, and incident response across critical platforms.Implement and maintain cloud-native and hybrid cloud environments using AWS, Azure, and related technologies.Champion Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevSecOps best practices.Collaborate with development, release engineering, and security teams to enhance deployment, change management, and operational efficiency.Manage containerized environments using Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and environment management processes.Required ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.6+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, cloud migration, or system administration.Strong experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, or hybrid cloud environments.Hands-on expertise with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, Gradle, Nexus, Artifactory, and Azure DevOps.Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and CloudFormation.Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and microservices architecture.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.Experience with monitoring and logging tools including Grafana, Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, AppDynamics, or similar.Preferred QualificationsRelevant certifications in DevOps, Cloud Platforms, Kubernetes, Agile, or SAFe.Experience designing and supporting multi-cloud environments.Active participation in technical communities, forums, blogs, or open-source projects.
