Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program is committed to continuous improvement in treatment outcomes, professional development, and client-centered care.Role Description The Senior Therapist is a full-time, remote role responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to clients in the Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program. Daily responsibilities include conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions; performing clinical assessments; developing and updating treatment plans; and documenting all services in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. The Senior Therapist collaborates with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and other care team members to coordinate treatment and monitor progress. This role also involves providing clinical guidance to junior clinicians, participating in case consultations, and contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives. The Senior Therapist maintains ethical and professional standards while ensuring care is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based.Qualifications Licensed or license-eligible mental health professional (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, LPC, Psychologist) with a master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field such as counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy.Demonstrated experience providing therapy for mood and anxiety disorders, using evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, or trauma-informed approaches.Strong assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation skills, including the ability to formulate diagnoses and measurable goals.Proficiency in maintaining therapeutic boundaries, managing risk, and responding to crises in a remote care environment.Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with diverse client populations.Comfort and competence in using telehealth platforms, electronic health records, and other digital tools in a remote setting.Ability to work independently, manage a full clinical caseload, and prioritize tasks while maintaining timeliness and attention to detail.Experience providing clinical mentorship or supervision to other clinicians or interns is preferred.Commitment to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and adherence to all applicable state, federal, and organizational regulations.
