TradeX Protocol offers a fast-paced environment for professionals passionate about financial markets, data, technology, and innovation.Role DescriptionTradeX Protocol is seeking an experienced Senior Trader for a full-time position. The role will initially involve working closely with our existing team and will require relocation to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as part of TradeX Protocol’s expansion and trading operations in the Kingdom.Candidates applying for this position must be willing and able to relocate to Riyadh.The Senior Trader will be responsible for managing and executing systematic and discretionary trading strategies across multiple asset classes, including gold, FX, commodities, and digital assets.Key responsibilities include monitoring global market conditions, optimizing trade execution, managing portfolio and trading risk, and working closely with quantitative researchers and technology teams to improve existing strategies and develop new trading opportunities.The role will also involve reviewing trading performance, adjusting positions within defined risk limits, analysing strategy behaviour, and contributing to the continued development of TradeX Protocol’s trading infrastructure and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute and manage systematic and discretionary trading strategies across Gold, FX, Commodities, and Digital Assets.Monitor global markets, volatility, liquidity, and major economic developments.Manage position sizing, trading exposure, drawdowns, and portfolio risk.Analyse trading performance and identify opportunities to improve strategy execution.Work closely with quantitative researchers and developers to refine automated trading strategies.Monitor automated trading systems and intervene when required.Develop and test new trading ideas, strategies, and execution approaches.Maintain disciplined adherence to internal trading and risk-management limits.Contribute to the development of trading processes, reporting, and performance analytics.Support regulatory, compliance, and internal risk-management requirements.QualificationsStrong professional trading experience across global financial markets.Experience trading Gold, Foreign Exchange, Commodities and/or Digital Assets.Strong understanding of technical analysis, market structure, liquidity, volatility, and trade execution.Experience with systematic, algorithmic, or quantitative trading strategies.Demonstrated expertise in risk management, including position sizing, drawdown control, stop-loss frameworks, and exposure management.Familiarity with electronic trading platforms, automated execution systems, and market microstructure.Ability to analyse trading strategy performance and identify areas for optimisation.Familiarity with analytical and trading technologies such as Python, SQL, Excel, APIs, or similar tools is highly beneficial.Strong decision-making skills and the ability to operate effectively in fast-moving market environments.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Academic background in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or another relevant discipline.Previous experience within a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, asset manager, family office, or institutional trading environment is highly preferred.Strong commitment to ethical trading practices, risk discipline, and regulatory compliance.Must be willing to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.LocationRiyadh, Saudi Arabia – Relocation RequiredRelocation support may be provided to the selected candidate depending on their current location and circumstances.
