Senior Training Specialist (Contract) - Financial ServicesLocation: Amsterdam, Netherlands (primarily office-based) Contract: Initial 6-month contract (with potential extension)Travel: Approximately 20% across Europe – all business travel expenses coveredRate: Circa €600 per day via B2B contractWe're currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Training Specialist to join a leading international organisation on an initial 6-month contract.This role is primarily based in Amsterdam, with regular travel across Europe to deliver engaging training programmes to sales teams, partners and customer-facing professionals. If you have a passion for learning and development, enjoy presenting to diverse audiences, and thrive in a fast-paced commercial environment, we'd love to hear from you.The RoleAs the Senior Training Specialist, you'll be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality learning solutions across classroom, virtual and digital platforms. You'll work closely with sales leadership, product teams and subject matter experts to equip commercial teams with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.Training will cover merchant acquiring solutions, POS hardware, SaaS products and consultative sales methodologies, while also supporting onboarding and continuous professional development initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging instructor-led training in both classroom and virtual environments.Design and facilitate commercial sales and product training programmes.Support onboarding and ongoing learning initiatives for sales and customer-facing teams.Collaborate with product, marketing and sales leaders to develop effective learning solutions.Deliver training on merchant acquiring solutions, POS hardware, SaaS platforms and value-added services.Develop and maintain engaging training materials using modern learning technologies.Continuously improve learning programmes through feedback and best practice.Travel across Europe to deliver face-to-face training sessions where required.Required ExperienceNative or fluent Dutch language skills.Proven experience delivering commercial, sales or product training.Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, both in-person and virtually.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Comfortable learning new technologies and business processes quickly.Strong organisational and time management skills.Experience using Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Webex.Willingness to travel across Europe (approximately 20%).DesirableExperience developing eLearning or digital learning content.Video and audio editing experience.Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and instructional design.Experience with immersive learning technologies, including VR.Payments, fintech or merchant acquiring industry experience.Additional European language skills would be advantageous.
