Senior Typescript ArchitectSalary: $175,000-$215,000, plus bonuses and full benefits100% Remote from the continental US excluding the Pacific Time Zone and New York stateAbout The Role:This role is for a senior IC architect who designs the framework, component model, and API surface that all complex applications on the MapLarge platform are built on. It’s a hands‑on, TypeScript‑heavy position focused on composition - creating reusable primitives, clean contracts, and data‑driven flows that let developers assemble sophisticated apps without reinventing the plumbing. Responsibilities

Design reusable, composable UI components with clear contracts and boundariesStay hands‑on in TypeScript, building patterns, reviewing code, and pairing with developersArchitect data‑driven, declarative UI flows that keep complex, live‑updating apps predictableDesign and maintain the framework/SDK API surface used by application developersBuild framework‑agnostic UI foundations that interoperate cleanly with major frameworks like ReactCreate abstractions that scale across many applications and use casesEnsure performance and responsiveness with large, dynamic datasetsMentor developers and raise the overall front‑end architecture capability of the team

Requirements

Must reside in the continental United StatesBachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field)Authorized to work in the U.S. with no visa sponsorship required8+ years of front‑end development experience with strong TypeScript skillsExperience designing reusable, composable UI componentsStrong API design skills for both client‑side frameworks and backend data flowsExperience building framework‑agnostic UI architecture that can interoperate with tools like ReactAbility to think across both UX flows and underlying data modelsNice to haveExperience with data visualization or geospatial UI (D3, Canvas/WebGL, mapping, large‑scale interactive visuals)Familiarity with reactive or declarative patterns such as RxJS, signals, or observable‑based bindingsExperience with web‑component architecture or design systems using CSS custom propertiesBackground building SDKs or platform APIs used by external developersExperience with real‑time or streaming data in the UIFamiliarity with .NET/C# to understand full end‑to‑end API flowsUS person status or clearance eligibility (helpful for certain customers, not required)Cultural FitWhile we hire all kinds of people and invent roles to fit them, there are four key traits we require of every team member that really define our team.Fun to Work With - Life is short and work should be fun.Smart - We work on cutting-edge hard problems.
