Senior UI-UX Designer

Job DescriptionDesign intuitive, easy-to-use user experiences and interfaces across a range of projects and applications, from concept through final executionPartner with product managers to translate business requirements and user needs into practical, scalable product designsCommunicate design rationale and collaborate closely with engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible and adhere to established standardsDevelop and maintain wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and detailed design specificationsDesign visual assets — logos, icons, and other UI elements — for both in-product use and marketing purposesStay current with industry trends, emerging tools, and competitor products; communicate design concepts and prototypes clearly to developers and stakeholdersConduct comparative UX audits of existing applications (internal and competitor) and design improved alternatives based on findingsChampion and help evolve the organization's design system, ensuring consistency across productsMentor junior/mid-level designers and contribute to design process improvementsConduct or coordinate usability testing and synthesize user research into actionable design decisionsSkills & RequirementsCore Experience8+ years of professional UI/UX design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design processDeep proficiency in Figma (or equivalent tools like Sketch/Adobe XD), including auto-layout, components, variants, and prototypingProven experience designing for software products (SaaS, web apps, or enterprise platforms)Hands-on experience building, contributing to, or scaling a design system (component libraries, tokens, style guides)Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and visual design fundamentals (typography, color, spacing, accessibility/WCAG standards)Tool Sets & Technical FamiliarityDesign & prototyping: Figma (Dev Mode, variables, plugins), FigJam, Framer, Principle, or ProtoPie for high-fidelity interactive prototypesDesign systems tooling: Storybook, Zeroheight, or similar for documenting and syncing design-to-codeHandoff & collaboration: Zeplin, Figma Dev Mode, Jira, Confluence, LinearUser research: Maze, UserTesting, Hotjar, FullStory, or similar for usability testing and behavioral analyticsBasic front-end literacy: working knowledge of HTML/CSS and enough JS/React vocabulary to have productive conversations with engineer about feasibility and constraintsAI-Driven Design & Development Familiarity(increasingly essential at senior level)Practical experience using AI tools within the design workflow — e.g., Figma AI, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney/DALL·E for concept exploration and asset generationFamiliarity with AI-assisted prototyping/code-gen tools (e.g., v0, Claude, Cursor, Lovable, Galileo AI) to rapidly translate designs into functional prototypes or accelerate handoffUnderstanding of how generative AI is reshaping design workflows — using it for ideation, variant generation, copywriting, and user research synthesis — while knowing where human judgment must stay central (accessibility, ethical UX, brand nuance)Experience designing AI-powered product features themselves (e.g., conversational UI, recommendation surfaces, human-in-the-loop patterns) is a strong plusComfort prompting and evaluating AI outputs critically, rather than treating them as a black boxAdditional Strengths That Matter at Senior LevelStrategic thinking — able to push back on requirements and advocate for the user, not just execute specsStrong storytelling and presentation skills for communicating design decisions to leadership and non-design stakeholdersExperience working in agile/cross-functional teams with tight iteration cyclesData literacy — comfortable using analytics/experiment results (A/B tests, funnel data) to inform design choices
