Senior UI/UX Designer – Enterprise Applications & AI

Overview A government entity based in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer with broad experience designing and improving user experiences across complex enterprise applications and digital platforms. The successful candidate will work across a diverse application landscape, including employee portals and dashboards, HR and employee self-service, finance, procurement and supply chain, internal workflow and approval systems, and other business applications. The role will involve assessing existing user experiences, establishing a unified enterprise design standard and design system, redesigning key user journeys, and working closely with business and technical teams to deliver intuitive, consistent and scalable user experiences. The organization is also progressing with AI and digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will therefore be expected to contribute to the design of future AI-enabled applications and user experiences and develop the capability to work with emerging AI technologies. Experience with Oracle EBS and/or Oracle APEX will be an advantage, but is not a mandatory requirement. Key Responsibilities 1. Conduct structured usability and interface audits across existing enterprise applications and prioritize improvements based on business and operational impact. 2. Define and document a comprehensive enterprise design system covering color, typography, spacing, grid structure, iconography, forms, data tables, dashboards, interaction states, notifications and error handling. 3. Design and redesign complex user journeys across employee services, HR, finance, procurement, supply chain, workflows and other enterprise applications. 4. Create high-quality wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs and translate business requirements into intuitive user experiences. 5. Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, solution architects and technical teams to ensure designs are practical, scalable and aligned with technical constraints. 6. Conduct usability testing and feedback sessions with internal users and refine designs based on findings. 7. Maintain design guidelines, patterns and documentation so development teams can consistently apply the approved design standards. 8. Ensure designs support future Arabic and English bilingual interfaces and can be extended without significant redesign or rework. 1 9. Establish consistent UI/UX standards across multiple applications while considering the specific requirements and constraints of different platforms and technologies. 10. Contribute to AI and digital transformation initiatives, particularly the design of user experiences for AI-enabled applications, intelligent workflows, dashboards, AI assistants and other emerging solutions. 11. Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate and improve the usability of existing applications and identify opportunities for modernization and digital transformation. Required Qualifications & Experience

• 7–10 years of professional UI/UX design experience, preferably with significant experience in enterprise environments.
• Broad experience designing UI/UX for multiple applications, platforms and business domains.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with complex enterprise, data-intensive and workflow driven applications.
• Strong understanding of: o User-centered design o Information architecture o Interaction design o Wireframing and prototyping o Usability testing o Responsive design o Design systems and UI standards
• Proven experience developing and implementing design systems or enterprise UI standards.
• Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, developers and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of modern web and application UI/UX principles.
• Strong English communication, presentation and documentation skills.
• Currently based in the UAE with a transferable visa. AI / Future Technology Capability
• Good understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI concepts and their potential application in enterprise solutions.
• Ability to design effective user experiences for AI-enabled applications, including AI assistants, conversational interfaces, intelligent recommendations, AI-generated insights and automated workflows. 2
• Willingness and ability to learn and work with emerging AI technologies and user experience patterns.
• Previous experience designing AI-powered applications or participating in AI/GenAI projects will be an advantage. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and/or Oracle APEX.
• Experience with other enterprise application platforms such as ERP, CRM, HRMS, workflow or business intelligence systems.
• Knowledge of Oracle Redwood design principles.
• Practical experience applying WCAG accessibility guidelines.
• Previous experience working with UAE or GCC government entities.
• Experience designing bilingual Arabic/English applications.
• Experience contributing to digital transformation initiatives. Working Environment The development environment is air-gapped and does not have internet connectivity. The secure network does not provide access to search engines, online reference material, design communities, video tutorials or external AI assistants, except where approved imports are available. The candidate must therefore be capable of working independently and resolving design and technical challenges using their own expertise and locally available documentation. The candidate should be comfortable working in an environment where access to online assistance and AI tools is restricted. Application Requirements Applicants must submit:
