Senior Vice President, Software Engineering - SaaS

Our client is an established global leader in digital learning and education technology. One of their most established divisions is seeking a Head of Engineering to oversee the engineering organization of 100-people. This highly visible role will work closely with executive leadership and product in leading large-scale digital transformations as the org transitions from bespoke custom offerings to a unified SaaS platform.

No C2C or third-parties.Required Technology And Skills15+ years professional experience in engineering - background as a hands-on engineer with progression into leadership5+ years of hands-off technical leadershipDemonstrated experience leading geographically dispersed engineering organizations of 100+ people across multiple teams (Application development, Data, Platform engineering, etc.)Proven success leading digital transformations - ie: tech stack modernizations, transformations to a pure SaaS modelB2B2C product experienceCurrent ability to guide technical architecture and technical roadmaps for large-scale digital transformationsExperience driving AI adoption, evaluating tools, and integrating AI into daily engineering operationsExperience overseeing data architecture and helping an organization get more insight and visibility from their legacy dataExperience contributing to technical roadmap and architecture for legacy tech stack modernization efforts (ie: moving from monolithic to microservice architecture)Experience working in Large-scale AWS environmentStable background - consistent multi-year tenures at brand-name, sophisticated tech-first companiesExcellent communication and ability to managing up & down, interfacing with C-level executives and board membersAdditional SkillsDegree in Computer Science or STEM related fieldMBA or MS in STEM related fieldBackground in big-tech, Ed-tech, Health-tech, or other complex data environment with compliance and regulatory constraintsMission-drivenExperience working in environment with complex portfolio of hundreds of products and unifying into a SaaS platformPast experience as VP / SVP Engineering or higherCompensation: $300,000 - $325,000 base salary (based on experience), 25% annual cash bonus, and equity (RSUs)If you are interested, please apply directly for immediate consideration or reach out to Andrew Zaloom at azaloom@talener.com
