You’ll work directly with our Marketing Manager and designer, with our internal engineering team available for architecture and review. The role sits at the intersection of web engineering, interactive design, marketing technology, analytics, SEO, and AI automation. If you like taking an ambiguous brief, making smart technical decisions, shipping the work, and then staying accountable for how it performs in production, you’ll fit well here. What You’ll OwnWebsite rebuild, architecture & ongoing operationsRebuild the JRD Systems website end to end, including information architecture, implementation, performance, accessibility, and responsive behavior.Help determine the right technology stack and make pragmatic architectural decisions.Build production-quality front-end experiences that work across devices and browsers.Own the site after launch: releases, updates, uptime, security patching, backups, maintenance, and ongoing improvements.Treat performance and reliability as ongoing responsibilities, not launch-day tasks.WordPress & CMS engineeringBuild and maintain custom WordPress implementations, including custom themes, ACF, and block development.Know when WordPress is the right tool—and when it isn’t.Create content systems that give the marketing team flexibility without compromising engineering quality.HubSpot & marketing infrastructureWire HubSpot into the website end to end.Build and maintain forms, tracking, lifecycle workflows, and source attribution.Ensure marketing and sales teams can see where pipeline comes from without relying on spreadsheets or manual reconciliation.Connect website behavior and CRM data into a reliable measurement system.Front-end motion & interactivityOur design direction is moving beyond static 2D experiences toward motion graphics, interactive elements, and richer web experiences. You’ll be expected to build those experiences—not approximate them with basic CSS animations. You may work with technologies such as:GSAPFramer MotionThree.jsWebGLSplineOther modern browser-based animation and graphics technologiesAI & automationAI is a meaningful part of this role. You’ll build and maintain practical AI-powered systems inside our marketing stack, including:LLM API integrationsContent operations pipelinesAutomated production workflowsPrompt engineering for real-world applicationsAgentic or multi-step automation where appropriateSystems that remove repetitive manual work from content and marketing operationsUsing ChatGPT to write code is not what we mean by AI experience. You’ve worked with custom themes, ACF, and block development in production, and you understand the tradeoffs of the platform.Production experience with LLM and AI APIs. You have integrated AI into real products or workflows and understand API integration, prompt engineering, automation, and the operational realities of AI-powered systems.Strong ownership and judgment. You can take direction from leadership, ask the right questions, make decisions, scope work, ship independently, and flag risks before they become problems.Strong written English.
