Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole SummaryResponsible for managing and coordinating all technical office activities related to mechanical wet utility networks, including potable water, wastewater, irrigation, firefighting, district cooling, pumping stations, and lift stations. The role ensures that designs are technically accurate, constructible, compliant with project requirements, and properly coordinated with civil, structural, electrical, road, and BIM disciplines.Key ResponsibilitiesReview IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents for mechanical wet utility systems.Review hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pressure requirements, network profiles, invert levels, and equipment capacities.Lead the preparation and review of shop drawings, coordination drawings, and As-Built drawings.Conduct constructability reviews and identify design conflicts before site execution.Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, road, and BIM teams to resolve underground utility clashes.Review and coordinate mechanical requirements for pumping stations, lift stations, valves, chambers, pipelines, and associated equipment.Prepare and follow up RFIs, technical queries, Method Statements, and material submittals.Review Material Approval Requests for pipes, valves, pumps, fittings, and mechanical equipment.Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved vendors, local authority requirements, AWWA, ASME, and applicable international standards.Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement teams, and site execution teams.Review BOQ quantities against approved drawings and identify scope discrepancies.Prepare the technical documentation required for Variation Orders and claims.Monitor technical submittal logs and ensure approvals are aligned with the construction schedule.Provide technical support to site teams during installation, testing, commissioning, and handing over.Lead and supervise junior engineers and draftsmen.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure and heavy civil construction projects.Strong experience with wet utility networks, particularly water supply, wastewater, irrigation, firefighting, and pumping systems.Proven Technical Office experience with a main contractor.Strong experience in shop drawings, RFIs, Method Statements, material submittals, BOQ review, and Variation Orders.Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to review Civil 3D network profiles.Familiarity with WaterCAD, SewerGEMS, StormCAD, or similar hydraulic modelling software.Good understanding of BIM coordination and Navisworks clash detection.Strong knowledge of AWWA, ASME, project specifications, and local authority requirements.Excellent coordination, technical writing, leadership, and problem-solving skills
