Senior Yacht Accountant

Job Purpose: The objective of the Senior Yacht Accountant is to manage a portfolio of yacht management clients, providing detailed monthly accounts, monthly budgeting and assisting the captain with the financial operations of the yacht.Main Accountabilities and Duties:

• Provide accurate accounts (numerically & categorized) to the owner.
• Arrange timely payment of invoices.
• Communicate effectively with the captain and owner.
• Provide detailed fund requests to the owner.
• Arrange timely payment of crew salaries.
• Point of contact for owners / owner's representative & captains on all financial matters.
• Issuing monthly fund requests to owners / owner's representative for forthcoming expenses.
• Arranging payments on behalf of the yacht.
• Liaising with suppliers regarding invoicing to the yachts.
• Liaising with the captain to ensure that they have sufficient cash / debit cardfunds to operate the yacht.
• Provide detailed monthly accounts to the owner / owner's representative.
• Be available to answer any financial queries from the owner’s office.
• Active involvement in management of APA accounts.
• Overseeing invoicing process, management fees, payroll fees, purchasing etc.Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Experience of working in a pressured environment, taking full responsibility for their workload, ability to demonstrate time management skills.
• Experience within the yachting industry, or a related field, is preferred.
• Experience within a numerical field.
• Strong communication skills.
• Fluent English, both written & spoken.
• Strong IT/ numerical skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the role.
